1.
lol... I had this really drunk American girl do something similar to me. It was slightly embarassing because my sister was there recording it! lol... Can't say I've had an incident involving my G string getting caught on a girl's bra though. Nice one!
So you have an embarrassing video clip you can post here!
 2. This girl had a particular liking for bass, and I wasn't complaining. Until she started slithering up and down me whilst I was playing and her bra got gaught on my G-string. We all fell apart and couldn't play! Anyone else had anything 'odd' happen to them?
 3.
Ian, your second paragraph mentions a 410RBH then a 210 - which did you use with your 15"?
Hi, I used the 410RBH with the 15. Great combination.
 4. Yep, I agree with Mr Ferret. I have a GK1001 head, and I used to have a 114RBH and 410RBH (awesome cabs). I did for a time use the 410RBH on top of a Trace 1x15. I had the 210 connected to the amp using a GK 4-way speakon cable (this ensures the tweeter amp is used) and the Trace with a normal lead connected to the head. Coz its a normal 2-way lead the 50w section of the head isn't connected to this cab. It worked brill. Now I still have the GK1001, but have Aguilar cabs. So I'm not using the tweeter amp, but works same as any other head/cab combination. Ian
 5. Cool. Glad its sorted. I've still got my GK1001 head. They are great. I only got rid of my 410RBH and 115RBH because of the weight. Brill cabs though.
 6.
just wondering if you wrote a solution for me as nowt came up on your reply !! cheers kev
Oh dunno what happened there! I had one of these and a 410RBH a while back. Whilst changing the fuse bulb on the crossover board in the 115 I'm sure it was obvious. ie. two terminal labeld HF and two labeled either LF or woofer. There should also be four wires for the input from the 4-way speakon. Have you completely removed it? Can you take a photo and post it here?
 7.
hey folks if any one has one of these cabs or knows about them, could you please tell me what terminals the 15" connects to on the x-over as i made the school boy error of not markin which one's i took them off !! as there's a few of them all marked bass !! or does anyone know where i can download a diagram of the inside of the cab and x-over what a fool mucho appreciated guy's kev
8.
Hi there Would anyone here happen to have or know where i can get hold of a circuit diagram of the Mesa BB750? Ta' Ash
You could try speaking to Mark De Neys at Westside Distribution or Ian at EMS in Southend (approved Mesa service engineers)
 9.
Somone else on here (cant remember who just yet) has just bougth a BigBlock back from the US and is now having a nightmare trying to get a 240v transformer.......! I got VERY lucky off gleebay...... stuff is out there!
I spoke to Mark at Westside today and he said the only way to convert properly is to use Mesa Boogie transformers. Everything is custom made for the amps. The cost to convert a Walkabout is £200 - £250, so I decided against the idea.
 10.
I considered importing, but from what I gather there's no straightforward mod to run it at 240v. In the end I just checked eBay and got lucky...
BUGGER!
 11. I assume your amp is the 8-ohm version if you are linking it to an extension cab? I know they are available in 8, but generally are supplied with a 4-ohm setup, so you get max power as a stand alone combo. I'm looking at getting one of these heads for rehearsals, and have been offered a used one from the US at a good price. I'm trying to find out if its gonna be feasible to get it running on 240v.
 12. These are brill cabs. I've got three. Have a bump.
 13. ON HOLD FOR NOW - GAS has taken over and I'm looking for a walkabout scout to keep my Titan company, so my GK head will be going. No previous owners, and bought new from the Gallery a couple of years back. No trouble with the head whatsoever. 700w into 4-ohms, plus an extra 50w that drives the tweeter (if using a GK cab). No scratches to the front. Just a minor mark to the top from being slid into a rack case, where it has been all its life. £350 plus postage cost. Thanks, Ian
 14. I'd love one of those walkabouts. They're getting good reviews. Mmm jealous.
 15.
That's the ugliest amp sleeve I have ever seen in my entire life. Amp looks pretty sweet though.
When I bought it I thought I was getting the rack mount version! I took it out of the sleeve and tried it in the Aguilar sleeve I had, but the mounting holes didn't line up. So thats why its back in the ugly sleeve. By the way - you have a way with words!
 16. Hi, I briefly had a DB750 and was running into three DB112 cabs. It was awesome! Two cabs will still be great. I think the fact they aren't Neo cabs contributes to the great bass response. I found the head too 'woolly' in the end, so got a Mesa. But the cabs I'd definetly recommend with your head.
 17.
I emailed these guys the other day asking where I could get a UV tube for my Trace (now found!). Didn't hear a jot back from them.
I've used EMS very recently and they are really enthusiastic and always helpful. You are best ringing them. Ask for Ian.
 18.
So you'd recommend the v12 for my setup then? I was going to get the Big Block 750 as an alternative
For the extra two or three hundred quid, I'd go for the Titan, as its like having two big block 750 preamps in one. You can set up different sounds for each channel, set different solo and overdrive settings for each channel also. This make it very flexible in my opinion. You'd have to crank the Titan to very loud levels to damage your 8x10. I'm sure it'll be fine. I'm putting just over 1200w into 900w of cabs, and I'm getting told to turn down! Go for it.
 19.
Cheers Ian. I do get slightly confused by this though, I always thought you had to keep the wattage level lower than the level of the cab? The cab is 800 watt? So wouldnt the v12 be too much for it? I probably sound stupid for asking, but I never had the head for all this stuff! Dave.
True to a point. My three cabs total 900w, and my head is 1400w. The amp is never pushed, so I'm always on the safe side. Before I had two Epifani 410 cabs each capable of 1000w, and I was using a GK1001 700w head. I found it sounded better with one cab than two, as I wasn't pushing the cabs enough. Unless you plan to make your ears bleed and disembowel the first 6 rows of your audience, your setup will be very very good.
 20.
Do the 84's sound good for slap as well as finger style?
Hey Dave, I'll let you know soon. I got Andy to make a 5-string set of the 84's for my custom Jazz I'm building. They are supposed to have more output than standard US pups, so I'm leaving the bass passive. I'll keep you posted. Ian ps. Are you thinking of changing your Zappbass pickups?
 21.
Hey guys. I was hoping some of you might be able to help me on this. I'm thinking of buying a mesa boogie v12, to be honest I'm not great at working out the whole wattage and ohms thing. I have an Ampeg SVT-810E cab, will I be able to run the v12 through it? Any advice would be appreciated, cheers!
Hi, The Titan head runs 1200w into 4-ohms, a bit less into 8-ohms, and if you flick the switch on the rear to 2-ohms you can get 1400w into 2-ohms. So, it will definitely be a trouser-flapping match for your cab! Go for it. Having two identical channels is sooo useful. Cheers Ian
 22.
The self-adhesive copper shielding tape is fairly easy to work with. Shielding paint can be messy to work with.
I have to disagree. If you've done a nice routing job, you can achieve a really neat sheilding job with the conductive paint. Check out Overwaters.
 23. Beats me too. Perhaps people thought they were dodgy! If the amps were the 575w model I would have kept one.
 24.
Didn't you buy a bunch of them for cheap to sell on anyway?
Yes I bought four online priced incorrectly, and made a small profit on each!
