1.
3 12s... not the norm but when the amp can run down to 2 ohms why not!
I may go for four cabs in time, but we'll see how 3 sounds!
2. Bump with a new price. These are £1200 from a shop!
3. I should be collecting my new rig next week comprising an Aguilar DB750 head and three DB112 cabs (in green!). I'll try and do a review once I've gigged with it, as a few of you are keen to see how the DB cabs perform compared to the GS range. I hope it'll be loud enough, as full power would require 4 cabs. Cheers Ian
4.
Ok i'm first for a free one .
They are now on ebay with no reserve. Go on, 'av a bid!
5. Might have to give 'em away!
6. Bump. I might have to drop the price even more!!
7. Just accepted an offer of £750 for one. That's cheaper than the 500w model. A genuine bargain.
8. Here's some pics of the actual amp.
9. Here's a link to some bargain Ashdown heads for sale. It was moved to the special offers section Thanks Ian <a href="http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...amp;hl=klystron" target="_blank">http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...amp;hl=klystron</a>
10.
compared to the GS112 to increase the midrange sensitivity at the expense of some fatness in the lows.
I'm hoping they will cope with a low B without any problem. They have the same low frequency handling as the GS. They are heavy for a 1x12, but still better than lugging a 4x10 around! I'm surprised they only have one handle though. I took the plunge earlier and ordered three of them, in monster green. The tweed is nice though! I'll let the forum know what I think of them, also the DB750. Should be a nice compact rig.
11. Useful comments guys, but I assume no ones used one? Interesting comments about porting Alex, thanks. Ian
12. I saw those for sale, and then realised they were GS cabs, and used words substantially stronger than d'oh!!!
13. Oooh , I like that pic. That's what mine might look like except 3 cabs high, and monster green! I don't know what difference rear ported makes, but I guess its why these are supposed to be 'louder' than any other 1x12 on the market (according to Aggy)
14. I've read great reviews of the GS112 cabs, although some say it has a natural mid-scoop sound to it. The DB112 is supposed to eliminate that, so I'd be keen to hear from anyone who has used one. I'm looking at getting three to go with my DB750 head. Cheers Ian
15.
I've just purchased a rather beautiful Jazz Bass body blank from this gentleman, for a very reasonable price too! Everything went nicely without a hitch, it was swiftly delivered and (very) well packed, took me close to ten minutes to unwrap infact! Highly recommended, A+++ as they say in ebay-land! cheers - Dan
Thanks Dan. Can't wait to see the finished pics. Cheers Ian
16. If it looked like this, consider your arm well and truly bitten off!....
17. Out of interest, what strings are you using? Do you have them strung thru the body?
18.
Man Thats sweet, are the Barts or the new Lakland pups?
Looks like Lakys own pups. I'd like to know how they compare to the Barts. Nice improvement to an already awesome bass!
19.
I was wondering how much I should be paying for one of these, there is one on the bay at £500 currently. The retail for about £1100 right, so what is a reasonable figure to go for or not go past?
When I see a s/h price going over two thirds of the new price, I think f*ck it, I'll pay the extra and get a new one with warranty. So I guess no more than £700. Just my opinion though.
20. Shame these aren't the DB112's as I'm considering getting three of them. Bugger.

22. Hi, I had a UL410 (in fact I had two!) and they offer everything you need. They handled a low B with ease, each cab is 1000w, plus they are very sensitive. I ended up using only one cab as I found it sounded better driving one cab hard rather than having two hardly being pushed. Neo speakers are supposed to be slightly heavier on the mids than conventional drivers, but I never noticed it. I think I'm right in saying EBS had problems when they first started using Neo's, but as far as I know there are no issues with Epi. One of my cabs is for sale at the moment I believe! Cheers Ian
23. Are these specials? The only exposed pole pups I've seen from them are the vintage Jazz ones. Please correct me if I'm wrong though!
24. I ordered my 210212L direct from Jorg, but hasn't arrived yet coz Nationwide have wired my money to God knows where.!! He's done a good deal though and thrown in a protective cover.
