2.
Hey Chop! I love that body man! You know that falls right into my favourite wood catagory! Would have it off you in a jiffy if I had 100 quid handy! Don't suppose I can pay you in kind?? lol!! If I can muster summut together, I'll let you know! And if you decide to lower the price anymore, please do let me know! Cheers Bud! Big G!
Hi Big G, Hope you are well. Unless the 'G' stands for Gina, and you're not toooo big, then payment in kind might be an option I think £100 inc postage is a bargain for a really nice body. I can't lower the price any more, sorry! I thought a bit of maple might get you going! Cheers Ian
 3. These are made in UK, not the Chinese ones. Thought you'd like to know!
 4. Dave, I should be getting a Schroeder 210212L soon once Nationwide can work out where they wired my money to, coz Jorg hasn't received it!!! He assures me it will be as deep as an 18" and have fantastic mids/highs with the 2x10's and new horns. From what I've read here about Schroeder, you can't go wrong. Good luck. Ian
 5.
And i was looking for a backup for my EVO II / replacement to make the EVO a backup. Maybe if they're still about in a couple of months, i'll have one, we'll see how finances are. How big and heavy is it? Si
Si, It's a bit of a beast! Dimensions: 158 x 610 x 355 mm, Weight: 28 kg
 6.
Wow !! I had the pleasure of trying one of these heads into my 2 swr 2x10's. With the sub harmonic generator switched in, it made the 2x10's sound absolutely huge & full in the bottom end & really sweet in the top end like i've never heard them before, "hell yes" was i impressed with the sound made the windows in his house rattle too . Caught him by surprised how nice it sounded thro' 2x10's.
Agreed! These are awesome heads with bags of power. Plus they now have a compressor, which is footswitchable. A cool amp - lowest UK price!
 7.
A superb price? He hasn't listed a price lol Si
I was asking £800 inc delivery anywhere in UK. I'm now asking for offers close to this. Forgot to mention, I've got two of these at this price. Both new, boxed, unused and unregistered. Cheers Ian
 8.
I do a lot, but if you look down a couple of posts you will see my phil jones rig for trade/cash! Give me your aguiliar and schroeder and we'll both have new amps!
I see I'm not the only one who suffers GAS! Actaully I haven't got my Schroder yet - Nationwide have wired the money to the states and its got lost! Doh!
 9.
The choice of amps in this section is getting nothing short of staggering.
Don't fancy a brand new amp Mikey??!!
 10. Hi, For sale - Boxed, brand new, and unregistered Ashdown Klystron Classic 1000w head (575 + 575w). How about someone make me an offer then!! I'm looking for around £800 Proudly built in the UK, the Classic Series is Ashdown’s flagship bass amp range. Comprising of 500 and 1000-watt Klystron heads, a selection of cabinets and a range of 500-Watt combos, the Classics are about doing everything better – more volume, more dynamics, an extended frequency range and greater versatility. The 575 + 575-Watt Klystron 1000 head features a single input is switchable for passive and active instruments with a blend of solid state and dual triode tube preamps stages. Three straightforward rotary tone controls provide 20dB of cut and boost at 60Hz, 660Hz and 5kHz, and are supplemented by two pairs of additional sliders giving 15dB cut and boost at 180Hz, 340Hz, 1.3kHz and 2.6kHz. A built-in dual band compressor acts separately on the high and low frequency components of the signal to provide precise control, while the on-board sub-harmonic generator turns the Classics into powerhouses of tone. The inclusion of a 4-way footswitch as standard makes Ashdown Classic amongst the most versatile live performance bass amps in the business, providing control over the compressor, sub-harmonic generator, tube grind and EQ pre-shape. Specifications Power Output (RMS) 575 + 575W Thanks Ian
 11.
I seem to remember that 4ohm + 8 ohms = 2.7 ohms total not 3.5, but I'm sure someone more knowledgeable will be along shortly to confirm/deny this
Yep you're right, in fact it's 2.666666666666666 ohms
 12.
.....is that a price drop to £100 or from £100? and do you know what the P&P would be yet? cheers - Dan
Hi, I've reduced to £100, and P&P is included (provided you live in UK!!) Thanks Ian
 13. Hi, I can recommend Transit Cases http://www.transitcases.co.uk/ Very, very well made cases. Ian
 14. I'm 5ft 14in and have abnormally long arms, so 36" scale is no prob. Seriously, it can depend on the bass shape. I had a warwick thumb 5 and with such a short top horn it had bad neck dive and I felt like I was stretching all the time. Its probably the worst bass ever made IMO. Conversly, the basses in my avatar have 24 frets, and a long horn (ooh er), plus being headless gives superb balance. These are 35in scale, and probably the best basses ever made
 15. Many thanks guys, particularly BOD2. I understand now and probably don't need one. What a great forum!
 16. Thanks guys. So, if I get a gig on a boat or powered from a generator, are you saying that the voltage or current can fluctuate and that's why you need a conditioner in those circumstances? And you mention about USA mains - does this spike, and is that what the conditioner protects against?
 17. It looks quite compact - or is that Ampeg a bit of a monster in size!
 18. I've seen Furman conditioners mentioned quite a few times on BW but never actually known what they do. I'm reasonable technical but can someone explain what they do, and when they are used? I saw them mentioned recently regarding problems with a DB750. Now I'm about to buy one of these Agi's so I'm interested! Cheers Ian
 19.
Price drop
Still available for someone to make a really nice jazz bass.
