I'm open to offers ;-) I only have the 5-string from my avatar left though, I've sold both my ATK300's.

Cool find, I love ATK's!
Beat me to it! Behold The Wal triple neck. Lock the thread...
Well... Not mine, but I once got to play this beast. Take a notoriously heavy instrument, and make it double... It's ridiculous!

My Aria SB-1000 is ridiculously heavy, but never left the house. I did gig my Ibanez MC924 a couple of times, that comes pretty close to the SB (the early model 924 with the mahogany wings with ash top and back). Have never weighed any of my instruments though.

I once installed an Audere in my Jazz, and I liked the tones I was getting, but somehow I found myself gradually stop bringing it to gigs and rehearsals. I think I even stopped playing it at home at some point, even though it used to be one of my favourites. I just wasn't getting along with it anymore, and disliked all the control options and unnecessary bells and whistles. Now I have it restored to passive again, with a regular passive tone control but with a rotary switch where the jack used to be that activates a subtle 6 dB bass boost, and it's all I need really. I can get all the classic Jazz Bass tones and that nice active sizzly Marcus Miller tone with the boost engaged, and I couldn't be happier! That being said, I also have basses with active EQ's I do like and use, subtly. On my Stingray 5 I used it a lot to make adjustments inbetween songs, and I have a bass with an OBP3 that I use a lot too. Usually I only boost some lows and cut highs when I use the onboard EQ. I don't really know what it was about the Audere that I didn't like. But I'm glad I changed it back! Sure beats fiddling with the amp controls inbetween songs.

I saw them too. The maple one is a bit overpriced, and the rosewood one isn't stock. They were never produced with rosewood fingerboard. I thought the frets looked rather high and wide too, and the double dot on the 24th position looks different from the rest. So I guess the entire fingerboard has been replaced at some point. I have one in sunburst and it's a lovely instrument with a wide and chunky neck, but still quite comfortable. Interestingly, mine doesn't have the covered quadralock neck bolts but a regular Fender-style neckplate with four big woodscrews.

Crap, now I need to start saving!

Wow, a bargain indeed. Mine was originally advertised for 500 as well! Not nearly what I bought it for. And not nearly as nice as this one! Here's mine (though contrary to the description, it is indeed an SB-1000 but with two additional pickups and modified electronics): https://www.gumtree.com/p/guitar-instrument/aria-pro-ii-left-handed-bass-1980-customised-sb-900-or-sb1000/1167014274

Awesome, and in great condition! These are incredibly rare. I'm selling one too, but it is not nearly as nice as this one. Mine is a factory fretless that has been fretted, had its side dots moved from the fretlines to inbetween the frets, had two extra pickups installed identical to the original one, and the preamp isn't working. I bought it with the intention of fixing it up or maybe even restoring it to its former glory, but I don't know where to start and I have too many basses already (especially 4-strings, being mainly a 5-string guy). I'm curious to see where the bidding is going!
Ibanez Musician https://www.gumtree....rare/1254961151
Lovely, but that price is ridiculous. I have two, and got them for 400 euros each a few years ago.

I can't believe this hasn't sold yet. It looks absolutely stunning, the condition is perfect, the price is very fair and if it's anything like my Streamer LX5 it has got to be a fantastic instrument! Good luck with the sale. If I hadn't just bought that white Status S2 Classic that I believe was once yours I might even be tempted.
Is this the end for the Fender MM bass? Interesting, also have seen that Stu Hamm has now switched to Warwick from Washburn.
No, it's the other way round I spy with my little eye - either just a mirrorred photo, "because it looked cool in the layout of the website", or they're doing a lefty version too. Can't share the damn photo though, because the whole page is one big bloody JPEG Also some other weird photoshop quirks: above the "lefty" is a picture of a sunburst V7 with the bridge reversed, but above that is a picture of the very same bass with the bridge photoshopped on properly. -
That Ibanez is out there, I've seen several and actually know a lefty who owns one. I've played it, and it's really nice but the pickups were replaced with SD Quarter Pounders and I'm really not a fan of those... A lefty T40 would be awesome indeed.

Cool, and nice to see one with the inlay in proper fashion. There are a whole bunch of lefties out there where the Slipknot-S is mirrorred And no, I'm not just talking about Ibanez' own poorly mirrorred promotional pictures where they properly reversed the Ibanez logo but forgot about the S. The basses with that inlay are really out there! It appears to be the case on all lefty PGB1's that were made in Indonesia. Yours is the older Korean version. There is one for sale here in the Netherlands right now: http://link.marktplaats.nl/m870583330

Awesome stuff! I've never played one (no lefties available) but I did get to play the twin pickup version once (the RS920) and it was an amazing instrument. I love my RS924 and my MC924's, I hope I'll never have to sell them

Too bad, I love TRB's. I have owned two TRB5II's (one in Amber and one in Trans Blue), and both were fantastic basses and great value for money too. I liked the later TRB100x series too, same great feel and same electronics but different body woods (alder instead of ash, with a very pretty maple veneer top).

To be honest, I have more than I use right now. It's the 5-strings that got all the fun during the last two years. I don't have my pop noir-band anymore, where I played Nick Cave style dark melodic pop on 4-strings with mostly classic sounds - an Italia Torino hollowbody, a Rickenbacker 4003, my Ibanez Musicians (a LOT!) and at one point even a Big Kydd electric upright. Nowadays I just have my metal band, which suits modern sounding instruments best. I have to punch my way through a full mix with two 7-string guitars and lots of keys (Hammond, synths). I usually just use my Warwick Streamer LX5 for that, and sometimes my Ellio Martina or my Stingray 5. I just sold my Ibanez ATK300, which brings me back to 10 basses. I also have 5 guitars standing around and doing mostly nothing, except for a mid 80s MIJ Squier E-series Strat that I pick up a lot and an MIJ ESP Horizon bolt-on that I sometimes use for writing.

I did a review on my 924's once, with some background info on the series: http://basschat.co.u...musician-mc924/ If you're looking for simplicity, I would say the MC900 doesn't really differ from the MC924. It's just an older version with 2 frets less. I'd say you're really looking for an MC800 or MC824, with passive electronics and simple controls but all the great features and construction of the active models

The Ibanez is a BTB450QM, I don't really know about its value but I'd say somewhere between 200-300 Pounds.

Isn't the C4H already equipped with two MM-style humbuckers? The regular C4 has two soapbars. You're describing a PJ-setup, which slightly puzzles me because there's never been a C4 with PJ. All I can think of is the Cort Action Bass - which shares its bodyshape with the Artisan C4. Why not get a C4H or C5H instead, with the two humbuckers?
