In 2001 when I was at Uni a local cash generator type place had two 70's precisions in, both sunburst one maple neck (IIRC) and the other was fretless. One was up at £350 and the other was £400. I had precision at the time and loved it, offered the guy £400 cash there and then for the fretted but he said some guy had been paying it off for over a year at about £10 a month! the fretless was sold but had no tag to say so. I was gutted! I keep plodding into cash converters and such and never find any good bargains instrument wise. Did get a Marin mountainbike in great condition for £99 though!

Stunning playing by a stunning woman, brilliant combination.

Although they do look like nice instruments and the Ray 35 was very nice when I played it at the guitar show, I really do not see the point in buying one when a couple of quid extra will get you the real deal secondhand. I have seen really nice Stingray 5's on here for less than £799 and seen stunning Stingray 4's for £650. I suppose they are not too bad if you have to have a new instrument though......
Re: a trade. There seems to be some common admirers of MTD and Matt Pulcinella, so maybe you'd like to take a look at my Level 6?
Hi, Thanks for the offer, It looks like a great bass but there is just something about the shape that just doesnt sit right with me. To be honest it does have one string too many for me, I am after a 5 string ideally and would only considder a 6 string if it was a sei or MTD. Many thanks, Nathan

Many thanks, It is superb and to be honest there is a little voice inside my head saying dont do it, but it is a lot of money in bass to have lying around and I have 2 other superb Jazzes which will be fine as I am not playing right now. It is a fantatsic instrument and by far the best Jazz 5 I have played as well. I was a huge Stingray 5 fan but would take this over a Stingray anyday. Thanks for the kind words. Nathan
There are in fact pole pieces right under the strings as well, so each pickup has a total of 22 pole pieces. The ones not visible are shorter to reduce the magnetic pull on the strings and is one of the reasons the B-strings on RB5 basses are so increadibly good, also far up the neck. Without a doubt the best jazz fiver in my mind. Have one just like the one on sale here, and it's a definite keeper. The price here even has me thinking of what to sell to be able to lay my hands on it as a backup... Best of luck with the sale Nathan! cheers / Matt
Hello just a quick note to reflect edited post. I have found something i would like so I am reducing the price on this to £180. I will ship and have a rough cost of about £35 for next day delivery with a courier but would obviously need a specific postcode for actual cost. Also more than welcome to pick up in Cheltenham and I wil also be in Pembrokeshire soon as well. Cheers, Nathan
I love my Ashdown mini 4x8.....does 99% of my covers gigs with my EVO II 500 head, and then I stack it with my mini 1x15 for 100% of FSOF gigs Lovely little rig, fits in the car, loud and focused sounding, and a 15 just bottoms it all out nicely! Si
Until my band folded I was planning to do the same as you have and get the 15" to match and really make this a super powerful set up. Unfortunately I didnt get to that stage but maybe when I get myself in a band again I will seak another two cabs out because they are superb and super tight sounding. Cheers, Nathan
Would you be willing to post the cab?
Hi, Sorry for late reply have been in the sunshine in Cornwall for the past week. Anyway yes I would be willing to post but it would have to be courier and I would not be able to cover that cost in the price of the amp. Happy to get a quote for you and we can talk/negotiate. Send me a PM if you want any more info. Cheers, Nathan

Hello, Both Head and Cab still for sale, make me an offer, also looking for a good small combo and may consider fender bassman, ashdown electric blue in good condition, or swr workingman. Thought I had a buyer sorted for the head but things have not worked out for either of us so its back up for sale. Cheers, Nathan

AMAZING! I have admired RIM basses for a while now but I am a big chap and a Jazz or P are about the only thing that looks in proportion. I cannot wait to see this develop and might even be tempted to take the plunge (if he will make another one). Can you let the headstock design out the bag????? keep us updated.

Brilliant band and the I remeber when I first heard Bombtrack, blue my mind, so angry, so groovy, so honest, just full of rage which is exactly what you want when you are a teenage boy! oh and one of the best bass tones ever IMHO Anyway yes he used a stingray with no pickguard if I remeber (not that that would affect tone) but he did use some jazz basses (75 American Reissue?) as well or was that just with Audioslave? I know I have seen him somewhere using Lakland as well so I would think he can get somewhere close tone wise with a Jazz.

Just bought a reissue Jazz from Ruairidh and can honestly say he is a fantastic chap to deal with. Great communication, well packaged and a superb bass. Also threw in some extra bits like a pickguard and chrome covers that were not part of the deal. Thanks again, and ggood luck getting that new Jazz. Cheers, Nathan
These look really cool. Am I right in thinking it has a different body shape compared to his standard USA Mtd's? Also the headstock shape looks like the Callowhill Junkie headstock. Very nice looking basses
It does have a feel of the standard MTD basses in the body shape but it look to be a more substancial body with a hint of Fender thrown in. Yeah teh headstock did remind me of the Callowhill as well (nice looking bass too), it also reminds me of John Shukers J headstock as well for some reason, probably nothing alike if I put them next to each other though.
