1. A toe in the water to see what else is out there. Have had this bass about 6 months now and it's fantastic - best bass i've ever had. So why try and get rid ?! Just want to try something else, honestly. Not really after the cash, just a change of scenery. It's a 2005 model in good nick, with Lakland pickups (not Barts) and LH-3 preamp. I'm interested to hear about trades for preferably another 5 string. These are £1300 new and the pickguard cost the former owner £50 from the US, so looking for trades of basses of similar quality/price. But please fire away with any offers - doesn't hurt to ask !
2. Have got this issue but not read it fully yet, however I think they spend far too much time deliberating on the differences between hugely expensive custom basses. There are budget/mid price basses in there, but not many. It comes across as that they are reviewing them more for their own benefit than the average bassist.
3. Yeah sod that, especially at the price of US Fenders nowadays. Thought about something else ?
4. I think there's a lot better for the price. What music are you playing ?
5.
ooooh you beauty-i have nearly exactly the same bass + 1 string
You were lucky - you nearly didn't !
6. Pah, if you were after a 5 string (and that was one too) i'd have offered you my 55-02.
7. I nearly bought that OLP from jobie Lemuel Beam - only lack of cash stopped me !
8. http://www.guitarampkeyboard.com/prodlist....ry=Bass+Guitars Just had a look at some of the prices on here - there are some shocking increases. e.g. the Yamaha BB414 only a few months ago was £199, now £314 - a 45% increase ! Not limited to just Yamaha. Has anyone else noticed this elsewhere ?
9. Ewww ! It looks like a mix'n'match of bodies/pickguards and all put on upside down !
10. I very much doubt they were stock.
11. I'd go for 10% in normal circumstances... not sure about now.
12. Where in Birmingham are you ?
13. Stick the pics up anyway - always stirs a bit more interest .
14. Which model Streamer ? I doubt any Warwick model is particularly growlier than any other - it would all depend on the body woods.

16. Price seems fine to me - but pictures always help you sell an item .
17. I think they're ok, but don't last long and I hate the red silk wraps. If you get them free or cheap then it's not so bad.
18. Ouch ! Not such a good bargain anymore. Sounds like anyone who has one already could make a profit on selling them.
19.
According to these people http://www.netapplications.com
I think phatmonkey's stats were generated from the Basschat server .
20. £200 ?! WHAT !?! I bought an MC900 for £250 and effectively sold it for £600 (traded for a Stingray). I often see them go for £350+ on eBay so that may be worth a try !
