I swapped out a Groove Tubes valve put in my amp by it's previous owner for a standard Sovtek 12AX7 and preferred it... It's fun and cheap to experiment so go for it .

Saw one in Birmingham PMT yesterday - looked very nice for the price.

The Skylines are already pretty damned good so any improvement will be interesting to see. Any idea if this will affect the price ?

I think I like it, but only with a solid colour and pickguard. Don't think i've seen that shape on a bass before - good work from EBMM.

As a non-Shuker owner here's my opinion. Shuker are hand made boutique instruments that are generally made to your own requirements. He does have several off the shelf designs if you just want a well made version of a classic design however. Being able to wait a very long time is also a pre-requisite if you want one made for you . I watched about 5 mins of Hadrian Feraud as well, really didn't get on with it so I left and went back to the stand.. EDIT: Didn't realise it was you on the W&T 4000, glad you enjoyed it .

It was a pretty hectic but enjoyable day ! Really loved chatting to people and hearing some great equipment. Here's a few of pics from the afternoon.. Bass Direct stand Basses ! BigRedX, Urb and Ped discussing the finer points of the Bergantino IP112.

Got all the BassDirect gear now - it's going to be fantastic .

I bought an MC900 for £250 from PMT in Birmingham about 18 months ago. Cleaned it up and traded it for a 1996 Musicman Stingray, not a bad deal if I say so myself .

Yeah they are definitely shabby with online specs, they seem to change quite frequently ! My MAG210T was showing as 200w for a long time online, looks like they've updated it recently to 250w, despite me having the cab over a year and it saying 250w on the back !

Can't believe I didn't spot this one coming ! Looks very interesting, I did wonder if Ashdown would ever make an all-tube head so there's my answer. Looks like it's basically an ABM with a valve power stage, I bet it sounds fantastic. Won't be cheap for sure...
