1. I had one of these - great little combo, surprisingly loud too.
2. At the top right of the post you'll see an options button... click that and change to standard.
3. I think they were made by the same people who made Stagg..
4. I think Steve Lawson uses them on his fretless Modulus.. sounds pretty good I know that much.
5.
If you take a guitar stand with you to a gig, make sure you take one home with you after a gig.
Yeah - nearly didn't manage that once !
6. You won't get very far EBS_freak, I am too much of a negative influence on him .
7. Take a guitar stand... propping your up against the amp never works, and it WILL crash down. Plus it looks cool of the instruments are waiting on stage for you..
8. Shame he can't count either.. 23 frets ?!
9. Yes it would. The only difference is the top wood though.. it'd sound pretty much the same.
10. If I ever need another cab it'll probably be another MAG210, it hasn't given me any cause to want anything else.
11. Meh, The Ashdown one is a bit oversized really - wouldn't want more than one of them.. Do EHX do anything suitable ?
12. Hmm, it'd be preferable if items were sold on a private offers or price only. This bidding malarkey makes it seem do you just want the highest price available and want to pit people off against each other in order to get as much as you can.
13. I'm just not willing to spend much on something that would not see much use. 95% of what I do will be nice clean bass. For the occasional cover I would like a little authenticity, I suppose the envelope is more important than the synth. Anyone tried the Ashdown one !?
14. I'm quite happy to spend time getting the right sound(s) out of it and memorising them for mid set knob twiddling (!). It'd be used fairly infrequently anyway.. maybe 1 or 2 songs in a set.
15.
a tiny touch of reverb you will like
Most of the rooms i've played in provide their own .
16. I know I wouldn't have that much in it... a tuner, synth, distortion... erm.. ok i've run out now. No interest in delay of any kind.. don't like octavers, chorus, phase/flangers. EQ i've got on my ABM.
17. I might start building a pedal board.. save messing about with this V-Amp which is a nightmare to use live. I can see the GAS coming already... sigh.
18. What's that, Digitech ? EDIT: Just looked it up, looks pretty good.. will have to try one out.
19. Ok - firstly I know sod all about effects. Am looking for a decent sounding synth & filter, for a reasonable price (<£60). I've got a Behringer V-Amp which does both, but not that well. The synth tracking is quite frankly awful. I tried a Boss Synth pedal the other day which sounded pretty good, tracking was an issue but not as bad as the V-Amp. And the autowah removes that much fundamental it sounds like a guitar... have tried a DOD FX25B and have same problem. I'm aware I probably need 2 pedals, 1 for each function.. what's out there that isn't crap ?
20. Could you forward one to me ? Cheers.
21. So do you want a bass similar or totally different to what you have already ?
22. Well he knew enough to leave long before it went under .
23. My main reason for buying a bass is because I want it. I do take into account popularity / resale value if the need ever arose to sell it on. For example there are some brands I would try to avoid unless I was 100% sure I wouldn't sell it for a decent price. I'll admit though, I have bought gear on the cheap for the sole purpose of profit.
