Hi

Hi Rich, what else can you tell us ? What gear do you have, you in a band ? Welcome to the forum .
2. Theses ones are: http://www.squierguitars.com/products/sear...rtno=0326702521
3. Yeah your fingers need to get used to the impact/abrasion, eventually they'll toughen up a bit, but until then just take it easy and stop when if hurts, let it heal and go for it again.
4. How eery, started reading this and Bohemian Rhapsody came on on the radio ! Good luck with the V1004DX, I really liked the one I reviewed.
5. Yeah they've had it a while.. the Sandberg CNC machine had a mine of it's own and produced about 10 of them. Rather than waste it... they made it a promo bass ! Plays well surprisingly but playing octaves are a pain . It was really quiet (in terms of people) when I was there, more like a Monday morning than Saturday afternoon ! Was it Big Dave you spoke to ? Looks a bit like this... with a goatee:
6. I'll give it a try with the paint.. where would be the best place to get it ? Will check out the earth solder joint too.. Of course it's fine if I roll off the tone control, or don't let go of the strings . Cheers chaps.
7. Generally any money you spend on upgrades mean nothing when it comes to selling. Some upgrades can even be considered as the opposite, thus lowering it's value from original condition.
8. What time ?! I was there about 1.30 for an hour or so... Played just about every bass in there .
9. A lot of people have had that bass Al .
10. Now I know if I sell mine (as if) that I won't have to wait around .
11. Personally i'd avoid the 1x15 cabs. I think the 10" variants are much better at what they do..
12. Yeah they're doing a 5 string one with Spalted Maple body soon.. that I DO want. Spalted Maple:
13. Since installing the new pickups on my Jazz, there's a definite buzz/hiss and i'm not touching the strings (volume has to be quite high though). This happens on all pickup configs.. any ideas chaps ? I'm aware single coils are liable to it but I don't remember hearing it with the stock pickups.. Cheers !
14. Lol, I wondered if anyone would buy one of these in the first place .
15. Pah, you can't just say 'the bass', we need details.
16. You are - I have a Jazz i'm happy with, also I am skint .
17.
Just rang PMT Apparently expecting some in within the week , sales guy really raved about them ,great neck and real eye candy they sold out of there first batch pretty much straight away . If I cant pick up a used marcus miller , I think I'll have to plump for one of these probably the Sunburst me thinks !
Was it Dave Sheriff ?
18. Going to PMT in Brum tomorrow, will see if there's one around.
19. I think remember hearing this through doods Epifani Epifani UL-610 at the Bash.. that was pretty scary stuff.
20. I can recommend Nordstrands - have a look here: http://www.bassdirect.co.uk/bass_guitar_sp...nd_Pickups.html
21. Yeah i'd be inclined to agree on the SR506.
22. There's definitely a bigger market on eBay and you will expose yourself (!) to many more people than there are on here.
23. If you get lessons you should be able to tell the tutor what you want to achieve, and what you aren't interested in. They should take note of this so you don't end up being bewildered and easily bored. Welcome to the forum !
