3. I've got a MIM Jazz i'm not happy with and to be honest just want to shift and get something else. I don't think it's worth dumping any money into them as you usually don't get much of that investment back if you sell it on. Things I dislike with mine are unbalanced pickup output (loud G string and slightly farty neck pickup), plus it needs more defined sounding pickups, but i'm reluctant so spend any cash on it when it might still not be what I want (Jazzes may just not be for me).
4. I had an MC900 with a bit of a dodgy neck, still managed to swap it to the equivalent of £600.
5. Yeah - but for me the improvements are all cosmetic (bar pickup positioning). Since you can get a new MIM standard for about £300 I wouldn't pay more than 50% of the existing price just for block inlays and a pickup to be moved <----------> this much.
6. I think if they price these up for over £450 they won't sell very many.. it's getting to MIA Highway levels.
7. Nice looking Precision there.. you don't see many with nice fancy tops.
8. Interesting - especially if they're better than normal MIM's.

hi

Hey, welcome to the forum .
14.
The closed-loop servo-controlled thing is presumably to reduce distortion in the lows by tracking the cone excursion. The active parametric synthesis could be referring to some EQ built into the cab. Tri-amplified means that lows, mids and highs have separate amps with active crossovers. This should give far greater SPL capability and lower distortion than a conventional rig.
Do they have flux capacitors too ?! .
15. Yeah have played a couple in Sound Control. They're ok basses, i'd put them in the same category as Squier / Yamaha starter basses.
16. Is it made on the same line as the normal BB's ? If so it seems very expensive considering a normal BB is around £350.
17. If it had a bridge pickup too then I could perhaps put up with it .
18. I would never pay full price on expensive items (basses / amps) unless I thought it was already a bargain. Ticket prices do generally invite a bit of leeway for bartering, just how the industry seems to be.
19. Classic BB's rock, but the pickup there just makes me think it's some homebrewed experiment, looks wrong to me .
20. Hi there Paul - I see you found your way here from eBay ! Hope you enjoy the forum.
21. No such thing as 100% unless they're the original strings too .
22. Out of curiosity - why do you want to know ?
23. I'm sure they'd let you play them, after all - how would you know if you like them ?!
