1. It... wasn't a typo :brow:. http://www.cafepress.com/buy/bass+guitar/-...opt_/c_666/pg_1
2. GAK are a PITA for not-updating out of stock gear.. I suppose their excuse is that they'll order it for you.
3. Looks nice - not sure about those black strings though .
4. I believe the above is correct. The TRB 100x are indeed not MIJ but probably in <enter far eastern country here>. That said, i've played a few TRB100x series and they've been great. The main difference I suppose is body wood, the TRB5II will be ash, the TRB1005 will be alder with flamed maple top I believe. If you can afford it then go for the TRB5II, if you can't then don't worry about it - you're still getting a fantastically good bass.

6. How very strange.. semi-original though at least.
7. Ah Spear, they did a few custom look-a-likes which weren't too shabby looking. Website here: http://www.spearguitar.com/product/pro_2/info_1.asp
8. This listing (330228043923) has been removed or is no longer available. Please make sure you entered the right item number. If the listing was removed by eBay, consider it cancelled. How strange .
9. Great looking basses. This in the red would have me GASing like no tomorrow.

I like the red one, the black one is cool too, but not in the same league. Is the ML well balanced ?
11. I want your Bongo. Give it me or I will have to ban you. I mean it.
12. Yeah i'd take that over a Precision any day. It'll serve you for a long time and the only reason to upgrade is something called GAS. Seriously though - nice buy and it'll save you having to upgrade because you bought something 'too basic'.
13.
if you do get the 2x10 stick it on its side, sounds much better played that way
Not convinced on this one .
14. It always helps to mention the large bass community you're a part of too .
15. The topic of 2x8 Cabinet implies it is the cabinet. I've seen them in a couple of shops but not dared to ask to plug into one... maybe I will soon, am curious as to how such a small cab will perform.
16.
Actually the 2-band is bass boost only and treble cut/boost. When he was designing his MM replacement 2-band pre-amp John East wrote an excellent description of how the circuit works for the old Dudepit. Regretably that no longer exists. Perhaps we could persuade him to write it again. If I remember the bass is desined to be boost only BUT because of the way the circuit works it gives the impression of bass cut and boost.
I tend to agree with this after trying a few different Rays.
17. Ouch. That really does suck as a website... as soon as you click back it restarts the whole animation thing. Flash is so over used by people who think it's cool.
18. It's been Sound Control for about 5 years now - check them out here: http://www.soundcontrol.co.uk. They mainly stock: Fender / Warwick / Spector / Yamaha / Schecter / Musicman By the way - there is also PMT in Birmingham which in my opinion is a better place to shop: http://www.pmtonline.co.uk. They mainly stock: Fender / Musicman / Sandberg / Yamaha / Ibanez / Peavey.
19. If it's an old one it'll be 200w, new ones are 250w.
20. WANT ! Will send the missus.

Oops - forgot to ask my Dad if he wants it ! Will do it today. Update: Nah he's not interested sorry .
22. Might come back to you on the Jap Jazz pickups.

24.
Do,nt know about the Hartke stuff, but I've found the Ashdown stuff is wooly as a knitwear shop.
I could knit the ignorance in this reply into a nice jumper ! It is fair to say that an Ashdown flat is dull, but that's what the EQ is for. It doesn't take a lot of tweaking to make it just as bright as any other amp, and still have plenty of headroom on the EQ controls. Not sure about the Hartke gear - never tried the VX cabs.
25. Nice one Stuart - I look forward to that review . Incidentally I need to get the current BGM to see how the LoMenzo compares to my review...
