4.
To put this in perspective, Pat Metheny had to write, arrange and record ALL of the music for the movie 'Map Of The World' in two weeks. And what he came up with is stunning. Doing a film soundtrack in two or three weeks is not that unusual. Learning 30 pretty basic songs like those in your list should be a breeze by comparison. Most of these songs are 16 bars on music repeated over and over again. Sweet Home Alabama is a three chord job, Comfortably Numb is a no brainer as is Paranoid and so on. If you can't nail this in three weeks, you ain't trying! Just do it.
Not particularly helpful comments there. You have basically said "pros can do it, stop whining and get on with it". Perhaps he is constrained for time by work/marriage/children ? I know I get about 10 mins a day playing myself. A helpful thing i've found are tabs, it saves you the effort of learning the notes to the song so you can concentrate on the structure. See if you can find some of them here at http://www.ultimate-guitar.com
5. The Adam Black I reviewed was great - that was RRP £299 I believe. http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=14339 http://www.rosetti.co.uk/products/adamblack/b10.htm
6. Great stuff, i'm more impressed with the Nothing Else Matters though - mainly because I love that song.
7. If only you were a bit closer !
8. I defretted my Yamaha 5 string about a year ago, it'll never get used out the house (for the forseeable future) but I love playing it and will never sell it. I don't play it enough though..
9. I borrowed tonyf's ASATs last week whilst he was on holiday. He has a solid and a hollow, there was a difference between them, but nothing that jumped out and smacked me in between the eyes..
10.
I have never found P basses especially comfortable to play or wear, and I find the sound 'OK' but nothing that excites me much, and for the level of simplicity I am dumbfounded by the prices of some of them!
That's pretty much it for me too. I hope to try a few at the bash to get a proper feel for them.
11. Wow, I've thankfully never encountered service as bad as some of these examples. The worst I've had is having to hunt down staff to ask to try something..
12. You sure that's a Proline ? I thought they had flamed maple tops. That looks like ash to me making it a standard ash model.
13. My Stingray isn't going anywhere.
14. Great choice of music there ! Welcome to the forum.
15. Only hour an hour for me .
16. Pah.. time and place and all that. An ABM900 sold on eBay for £360 a few days ago, I hope you get a good price Chopthebass. If this goes for silly money I will cry into my keyboard...

Spoilt?

Come to the bash ! It'll save me arranging a courier for the acoustic .
18. Damn.. I thought he wanted £6.60 for it.
19. A bump on the same day you posted it ? Calm down calm down !
20. http://www.guitaremporium.co.uk/ Sorted.
21. There must be something about Celinders i'm not aware of - they do seem VERY expensive to me.. but they do seem to sell.
22. To be honest they hardly have any UK market at all, I'm not aware of any UK dealer either .
23. Was this meant to be a reply to a post or are you just letting us know ?
24. Shops mark up 'every day' items like strings to a horrendous amount. I could pay £29.99 for a set of standard rotos in a shop.. or £12 online.
25. I'd take it at that price to go with my other one... if I weren't getting married soon ! Good luck anyhow..
