1. Welcome to Basschat ! The BB414 is a great bass, good for rock mainly but can be quite versatile. Which Ibanez SRX had you in mind ? They're mostly pretty decent, but for me the Yamaha would be the choice.
2. The 15 string is tuned in semitones..muhahahaha
3. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Bass-guitar_W0QQitem...1QQcmdZViewItem I don't know whether to play it or roast it..
4.
We all have to play until someone hits the brown note! Should be a cool day, gonna need to have some grub there also
It's next door to a pub/restaurant .
5. Grab the ABM at that price - they go for more than that on eBay !
6. Thanks to all those that entered, well done to 2wheeler, if he hadn't bung me that tenner who knows who would have won ?! Your email addresses have now all been sold to an international spam gang so target you with porn (bass).
7. I can confirm 2wheeler is the winner !
8. The winner has now been emailed .
9. I remember them being £149 in SoundControl..
10. It's in the sign up terms and conditions isn't it ? :brow:
11. You got it. Don't forget the gimp mask.
12. It may be down to an inclination to create more complex work if you have a higher level understanding of more complex music. Simplicity is nearly always a winner in being 'catchy'.
13.
Unfortunately, Ashdown seem to think that putting this type of tat out is acceptable, and it's murdering the brand IMO.
Hmm I disagree. It's an entry level practise amp that has the vibe of a proper stack, kind of. For a 14 year old who loves <insert Ashdown bassist> it's a great amp for them that won't break the bank. They would then in a few years move up to a MAG/ABM etc..
14. There'll be plenty of room for basses, but try and being a softcase if you can. A stack of hardcases will be a pain in the rear. Make sure you bring a stand too ! Regarding amps. it'd be pointless anyone bringing anything more than a practise amp/small rig. Mega sized rigs are just going to clutter the room up and be overkill. The room is about 10m square, so please consider if you really need to bring that extra cab / bass / kitchen sink with you. Oh yes - i'm bringing (probably sharing rig with tonyf) Ashdown ABM300 + MAG210 Musicman Stingray
15. Haha great site tauzero, I think we can all be fitted into one of those..
16. I think the idea of auctions on here is silly and it isn't going to work. The seller should ideally put a firm asking price and not invite offers, unless of course it is a unique instrument where the value of it is unsure. Either way any dealings should be done via PM and not in the thread.
17. Sheesh you people are SO impatient. I will do the draw tonight.
18. I wouldn't use it for anything but home doodling, 65w isn't going to cut it with a drummer and guitarist(s) at normal practise volume (for me).
19.
Today hasn't finished yet
Exactly .
20. It's good that they're branching out from predictable stock - but those prices aren't particularly competitive.
21. Nice one Stan_da_man, perseverance can pay off !
22. Hmm i'm not getting the vibe on that video. Despite me usually liking Steve and Michael, that was a bit too 'freestyle' for me.
23.
I would have thought that you had everyone's e-mail address in one data file/folder and so replying to everyone would be a one click thing? Anyway, thanks for checking, it's most appreciated.
It's set-up to forward to a hotmail account. I can't be doing with them all in my Outlook !
24. The SR505 should be pretty good.. thin neck and a great tone. Solo the neck pickup with a pick and it should be pretty good for punk style tones.
25. It would take me forever to reply to every entry... However I do have yours .
