So bi-amping with your MAG basically ?
Personally I wouldn't do it - you're still sending a bass signal to the guitar amp which wasn't built to handle the lows (could easily rip the speaker cones at decent volumes).
Yep they've had a compressor added, along with the Electric Blue range.
Ashdown initially did this same thing a year ago but seemed to drop it for a (I assume) a QC issue. Looks like they've cleared it up now.

By the way, what's going on with Ashdown's designs at the mo? A lot of the new stuff they're putting out looks awful...
It is a bit strange. They seem to be veering off-tangent from the typical head/cab designs we're all used to. Props for originality - but I don't think I'd ever choose a lime green / bright orange head.

Just spotted these on their site... they kept them quiet !
I'd love to do a review for you Dave, the VTX-400 would probably suit me best. I'm not in a buying position at the moment but it would be a bit of an insight for people who are.
Let me know if you're interested.
Matt
I like them - have got some chromes (50-105) on my Jazz at the moment and usually put XLs (45-105) on the StingRay. I used to use Prosteels all the time but did find them quite coarse on the fingers plus they seemed to not have the same life that the XLs do.

Cheap as chips when you can knock up a surround for it pretty cheaply.
I've always wanted to know what the string spacing at the bridge is on these basses, any idea?
They're pretty close, I reckon no more than 17mm.
It's always the same - a great solo sound rarely fits into a band. It's sometimes the case that a bad solo sound somehow just works in the full mix..
I pretty much do what David Nimrod does - my EQ is basically flat, but I boost high mids / treble about half way to full with my StingRay and leave it flat for the Jazz.
