1. I think you'll be ok - the head handles a minimum of 2ohms and plugging both cabs in will give you ~3ohms. The bit telling you its 406watts @ 4 ohms is just information.
2. This is becoming a very intriguing thread.. it's making me ponder whether all the hype about differing tonewoods is utter nonsense or just over exaggerated...
3. First bump.. I suppose I could always get it refretted...
4. A very open question unfortunately. What's your budget ? What style of music do you play ?
5. I think another factor when buying an instrument is how it'll be perceived by others. Some people (possibly including myself) wouldn't want to be on stage with some no-name bass that no-one has heard of or is perceived to be rubbish. It's the Skoda effect..
6. Christ on a bicycle that is a good price. If I had the cash i'd be on it in a flash..
7. 2003 Yamaha RBX775 in Flat Blue, defretted by myself. It sounds great as a fretless, but i'm just not using it Would be looking to swap for a fretted 5, any offers ? Here it is before I defretted, will get some proper pics later:
8.
Why cant you use the Ibanez to play Jazz and Funk? Whats not versatile about two pups and a 3 band active with mid sweep? The only thing that might concern me is the Barts.
+1. With 2 pickups and that much EQ control you should get a nice funky tone out of it no problem.
9. You could use the line out, but if anything the signal won't be high enough for passive headphones. I've tried it before and it's very weak quiet (through an EB180 and ABM). As stated above, you don't need to have a speaker plugged in for this.
10. I wonder when someone will put the Bongo pickups / EQ into a Stingray... now that sounds like an idea !
11. Yeah I reckon £50 is a little tight, it is a little better than your average practise amp.. £75 or so tops i'd say. eBay with a reserve should be first option.
12. Yeah it is quite snazzy.. Squiers are looking great nowadays.
13. I had one like that once when my fingers caught the poles on my Stingray pickup.. so much pain..
14. Yves Carbonara looked really into it, Jean Boredin looked well.. bored.. especially at 40 seconds in.
15. An umbrella ?
16. The picture is of a MAG115 ? An ABM MINI 15 looks like this:
17. Lovely looking Jazz there.. some good photography too .
18. Upload pics on here for us anyway .
19. Only a 20 min drive for me .
20. No loss on the sub-harmonics, but not sure about that humming problem. I can get mine to hum if I turn input/volume to max (with nothing plugged in), but that's just background interference amplified.
21. If/when i get another cab to go with my MAG210 it's likely to be a MAG115..
22. Pics always help people sell gear on here, it might be worth adding some if you can .
23. eBay would net him £225-£275 I reckon. That's the feel i've gotten from watching Jazzes on there over the last few months..
24. I had a brief nose - didn't play anything due to a large crowd unfortunately..
25. I think it's the whole 'one good sound' thing. It isn't punk to care about versatility or something..
