1. I nearly spat out my drink when I saw them lined up against the fence . That's an amazing collection - some fine specimens in there.
2. More like are there ANY Bongo copies ?
3. Took it's time didn't it Kev ? I almost felt like I was waiting for it myself ! I had my doubts when you first said you wanted a Vampyre, thought it was a bit stereo-typed to the metal genre but it's much more versatile after hearing Seth's work. There was the Sandbergs, then Yamaha TRB JP, then Vampyre then Katana and then back to the Vampyre ! I hope it was worth the wait and does you justice .
4. Yeah Ibanez always seem quite close to me.. great for finger style.
5. Nearest I could find.. http://www.wdmusic.co.uk/shop/products.php...mp;product=2447
6. Just the 3 for me as per sig - i've owned 10 in the last 4 years. Of course i'd like to still have them all plus more..
7. I gig my EB180-12 quite regularly. Admittedly I do have a MAG210 hooked up to it, but haven't had to crank it past 4 on the volume so far. It's nice and punchy and I think it sounds great, I generally have the EQ totally flat with the Jazz or with a slight 220Hz + 1.6Khz boost with my Stingray. I have a little experience with Laney amps (used them at practise and as a borrowed rig). I find them to be a bit muddy sounding, but that could have been just lack of familiarity with the EQ settings. By the way you can get the EB180-12 cheaper here: http://www.soundslive.co.uk/product~name~A...Amp~ID~3075.asp (ignore the old pic it will be the new model). Here it is in action last week:
8. That's pretty much the Ashdown rig i'd like to own but the normal head instead of rackmount. That Stingray 4 has me drooling too.. very nice.
9. They're quite good, I defretted mine a few months ago. It has a very bright tone all the time.. it's not easy to get thump out of it, but it is a modern bass and not meant for old school tone. Perfect for rock/metal.
10.
And I dont have time to keep answering questions that get asked over and over again.
But you do have time to whinge bout it .
11. D'Addario Chromes are wonderfully thumpy...
12. Dawsons usually have a couple of them - call them up to make sure.
13. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Warwick-Corvette-Std...1QQcmdZViewItem Bargain to be had...
14. Definitely worth the money, it'll easily outclass the Squier/Westfield and is definitely good enough to play for years. The only possible con I can think of is it's resale value - Yamahas really don't hold their value very well, then again they are cheap to begin with ! I had a BB614 and only sold it to fund the acquisition of my Stingray.

16. It tastes like Bass beer of course ! http://www.bass.com/
17. Offering to post will definitely help you here... people might not be willing to travel far for a (relatively) cheap instrument. Postage should be about £20 putting your price to £170, still a good saving on a new one.
18. Let us know how it goes - i'm definitely considering one myself.
19. Thomann are very reliable and have great customer service, there shouldn't be a problem ordering from them .
20. Wow that's a stunner - worth every penny. 87 was it's first year as a 5 according to several sites.
21. I'd say it's a good choice - I loved the SR505 I tried. Here you go. http://www.thomann.de/gb/ibanez_sr506l_bm.htm
22. Ah yes - I remember you being after one again Lorne when the new BC Rich appeared..

I posted £10 to Mart for a Stingray pickguard, this was during the post strikes and it never arrived. I said to put it back up for sale as I didn't fancy paying £20 in total for it - he sent it to me anyway ! What a super chap !
