  1. Wow, so bargain. Much cheap.
  2. https://shop.fender.com/en-GB/electric-series/american-ultra/ Count me in as underwhelmed.
  3. I'm still waiting...
  4. I have analysed my GAS over the last 15 years, and realised that there is no 'ultimate bass' for me that does it all. I like variety in tone and appearance, so have now got 3 main basses that should give me absolutely anything I need or want (Precision / Jazz / Stingray). Since getting part 3 of the above, the GAS has died down, but still find myself looking for something to GAS for - the thrill of the hunt etc. Despite the fact anything additional will very likely replicate something I already have.
  5. I bought a 2nd hand 2018 VM 2 weeks ago. It's taken me by surprise just how good it is. Easily on par with my old MIJ Marcus Miller sound a playability wise.
  6. I shudder to think how much he got for it. That said, Cash Converters have absolutely no chance of flogging it at that price. Even at half that probably.
  7. I thought the holes were reflected off something. Eeeek. I'd have to fill them and repaint the hole thing.
  8. It could be a MIM Fender, but why someone would remove the headstock logo is beyond me. The burst and neck look decent enough. Definitely not the original bridge/tuners/neckplate whatever it is. Glad you didn't pay £499 though.
  9. Or ask former for sale forum admins. Cough cough.
  10. Fallout Boy cover is cool. I tend to like any rock/metal covers of mainstream songs. e.g.
  11. I was quite sure of it being the Vintage until I zoomed in on the headstock.
  12. My god. That was better off unpublished... Aria UK look like total amateurs.
  13. Vintage V950
  14. I've had two L-2000 Tributes and sold both. Always thought they were great at the time, but suffered with the 'they aren't really popular' feeling. Also the L-2000 electronics never really made much sense to me, generally used it passive in parallel settings.
  15. Interview scoring is subjective and easily biased. I've seen band 7 roles be assigned as per my initial post.
  16. I know for a fact some NHS bodies advertise and interview external candidates when they've already decided which internal one will get it. And the post was created for that person too.
  17. Yes. I know.
  18. That brand name.. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ureter
  19. Very unusual. I wouldn't be surprised at all of this is nicked.
  20. How is this the reverse of coil tapping ? It's exactly the same thing, but the coils are further apart. Whilst we're all giving him a solid roasting for his over enthusiastic luthiering and sales 'techniques', I personally see someone who is passionate about guitars and may very well have a personality disorder. But get the hell away from my guitars.
  21. Erm who what and how much ?! https://www.cashconverters.co.uk/shop/product/jacoland-barcelona-custom-built-guitar/713340
  22. I'm considering being flexible. Got plenty of cardboard from moving house.
  23. I watched it in July on a 787 Dreamliner over the Atlantic to the Dominican Republic (honeymoon!). I had over 8 hours to pass and this film helped a great degree. I realised there was some artistic licensing being applied but I didn't like the Stingray making an appearance.
  24. In the 30+ basses i've got through in the last 15 years, less than half were new, and mostly earlier on in my 'experiences'. Second hand is far more cost efficient, and I haven't lost money on anything i've bought 2nd hand and moved on. New i've probably lost around £1k when shifting.
  25. Failed after buying a Genz Benz Neo Pak 3.5 and selling my Trace Elliot Elf (cost after sale was £60).
