  1. Thanks ! Most of our newer stuff is leaning towards the catchier side. Paramore are definitely in our list of influences.
  2. Another fan here. I started playing with Ashdown and something about the brand styling is just awesome to me. I've also forayed into the lightweight stuff (Genz Benz/TC Electronic), but now Ashdown are competing in that market, i'm back. I met Mark at the Guitar Show in Birmingham a few months ago and echo he is a lovely chap, happy to talk shop all day. I will get down there for the day at some point this year, maybe.
  3. My 2005 MIM has a Nordstrand NP4 in it, it plays really nicely and I can't see any reward to spending an extra £500 on a USA.
  4. That coincidence is not that surprising if you know some local history 😂.
  5. I fancy trying one out but don't fancy using Aliexpress, anyone know somewhere in the UK that has them ?
  6. Talking to a random brick, is likely to be as effective.
  7. My band's latest single - recorded on the D-Roc through my Ashdown RM500 https://www.facebook.com/LearnToLie https://www.instagram.com/learntolie/
  8. Wow, to think I nearly bought that bass before you fills me with pride that I defeated the GAS ! I'm also trying to figure myself out by the way, do you have the cheat code ?
  9. It's quilted and - an absolute pain to photograph
  10. Super rare currently. Looks like a minter too. These basses have the same pickups and EQ as a TRB, just the only difference is the pickups are slightly closer to the bridge giving a more focused sound.
  11. You can also swap the middle and neck pickups around (no wiring required, just swap them !) to get a more Jazz style switching option.
  12. They're very robust, you just need a very good eye to ensure OCD appropriate alignment. Cheap enough to buy a few to choose between also.

  14. Well, it's still here. Used on many gigs and recordings and still looks brand new other than light pickup shining. I will say however it is not my 'every day' bass, as it's not one for a subtle sound and sometimes it's a bit brutish where a delicate touch is better. I have Yamahas 6's and an MTD for those jobs. My band has a new single out on the 16th, i'll drop a link to the recording when it's out so you can hear it doing it's thing. It also now has a friend which will feature in a video shoot in 2 days.
  15. Here's all the combos available from it now (MTD Kingston Super 5):
  16. Thanks ! Through sheer dumb luck - i've managed to do it. I used this diagram I found on Talkbass, It worked as I wanted to (both pickups have a switch) so now I have an unholy number of pickup configs available.
  17. I have an MTD Kingston Super 5 that has 2 MM pickups, each with a 3 way DPDT switch. It is currently parallel/single coil/series. I want to change it to single coil/parallel/single coil, I'm not sure how to do this as I can't find anything from MTD about their stock wiring, nor have they replied to my query. Can anyone kindly work it out from the below and suggest how I can achieve it ?
  18. This is accurate, I do release management for a public used app and it's a far bigger an overhead supporting the numerous Android devices. We've had to limit it to the main ones and have reduced functionality in other devices, and no download at all for the really old ones. There's a web alternative, however.
  19. That gym time also teaches me safe and efficient ways to carry heavy loads.
