1. On behalf of blind 5 year olds, I find this post offensive.
2. Bump, the price is not firm - just a ball park. Still looking for trade offers - try me.
3.
Hi Machines, We will often attend shows with the intention of showcasing a particular concept or set of products, this means that we rarely bring a wide range of stock and tend to focus on a handful of products. As for pricing we're primarily a distributor, we can't price things too keenly at shows, retailers will usually offer the best value to consumers. Thanks,
I think this is short sighted - offering strings at cost of course won't get you very far in the short term, but could result in more long term customers who have not tried your products before. Me ? I'm just after a discount
4. A 5/6 string bass is the same as a 4 string, with 1 or 2 extra strings. The 4 in the middle will sound the same.
5. I like the strings, but at a guitar show in Birmingham they were charging more than I can get them for on your well known strings suppliers websites. In fact this year I don't think they had ANY bass strings.
6. If you just want the sound, a G&L JB2 is a good move. If you want the same look, my vote is Lakland 44-60 or DJ4..
7. Lovely, it's given me some ideas for my swamp ash Corvette.
8. Warwick Corvette Pro Series (2014) in Antique Tobacco. Swamp Ash body, Ovangkol neck and Wenge fretboard with bronze frets (new German Pro Series doesn't have these any more !). Weight - 8lbs (3.6KG). Active MEC pickups and 2 band EQ. This instrument is great condition with a very little wear. I've had a German Corvette before and these Korean ones are every bit as good. I am convinced they are identical in terms of parts and the only difference physically is the stamp of where it was made. I checkedon eBay before posting this and a similar instrument and one sold for £510. Originally bought from BassDirect earlier this year. I am looking for trades mostly but a straight sale is not opposed. I would prefer collection but can post if required at buyers expense or a local delivery within the Birmingham area. Please PM me with any trade offers - but looking for basses a similar price point. Photo below is of this instrument.
9. They're good, but I can't ever like that headstock.
10. Basschat is not representative of the average bassists' equipment. I bet the top selling bass in the country is a Squier Precision (or others around £300), but you see mostly thousand pounds plus things for sale here. Perhaps people realising they don't need such exquisite ostentatious belongings to play roots down the pub?
11. I think alot of people who paid thousands for instruments a few years ago are now skint and trying to recuperate some of their value. Alas with unrealistic expectations.
12. Whenever I go to BassDirect there are no NG2s in stock .
13.
Yep, somewhere!! It is truly a case of where!! I'm not going to start looking for it at the mo but from memory, it was either grey or dark grey/black ish and had a peel off sticky bit, at the bottom. Sound like yours? Cheers.
Snap.
14. I think I have the foam mute from the one I sold. Do you have a pic of the original FlatEric?
15. Don't dismiss MTD http://www.bassdirect.co.uk/bass_guitar_specialists/Fretless_Bass_Guitars.html
16.
Hey Eric, i remeber you said a while ago, but whats the slot in the bridge used for? I just picked up an amazing condition t40 from itsmedunc here and am just curious.
You can put a foam mute there.
17.
Hi Machines, these things sure are built incredibly sturdy. I'm guessing by your signature that trying to make a sale for a 6th bass may be a hard task haha, joking aside thanks for your words
Yep sorry, I like many instruments but they all have to be different.
18. There's an entire subforum for this exact purpose http://basschat.co.uk/forum/4-gear-porn/
19. Massively under rated bass, i've had mine 12 years now and it's pretty much bomb proof.
