1. I'd never have the brass neck to ask for something for free. If you love the gear that much then support the company and pay up. If you got signed then use some of the money you'll earn.
2. There's nothing special about it I imagine but there's a few potential buyers out there that are into the hype and must think the luthier has magical powers due to their associations. It'll sell, and and up for sale on a bass forum somewhere a couple of months later.
3. From some of the replies here it looks as if enough people are persuaded by the hype and are into the luthier more than the instrument itself. It'll sell whatever it seems.
4. More content ! Stop drip feeding it I want it all .
5. Haven't they missed the boat on overpriced Fender copies ? Sadowsky have been experts on this for some time. Pointless addition to an already over saturated market.
6. How did you get the gig bag ? I was told by GoToGuitars only the US could get them
7. Nice, I was at Bass Direct today and I liked the look of the Stinger but it needs to be a 5 string.
8.
I'm guessing that the London Bass Show has hurt Bass Day somewhat?
This. Last one I went to was 2010 I think and it wasn't bad, but the LBGS in 2011 totally outshone it unfortunately. It's a shame as it wasn't too big and was easy to get to unlike London, but alas it seems Stevie didn't want to compete with a 'big player' and I can't blame him.
9. I look forward to trying one, I expect them to be very expensive to cash in on the perceived demand,
10. Why the excitement over the Sabre ? Is it that different to an L-2000 ?
11. There's one for sale here: http://www.thelittleguitarshop.com/Bass.html (scroll down half way, black T-40) for £595, he is dreaming and I know he's had it for sale for at least 12 months.
12. £350-£450 depending on condition. Mine is all original with OHSC and was £450. I was going to sell mine a few months ago in a moment of temporary insanity, it's not going to get sold by me unless the price really goes up. They are in my opinion under priced compared to other basses from the era.
13. Wouldn't there be an issue with the red silk possibly passing the nut ? Sounds kinky.
14. I'd heard the similar about stocking a large range too, but that was a fair few years ago. If the above info were the case, i'd expect to see a reasonable range in the bigger shops but last time I saw a new Warwick for sale was Sound Control Salford in 2005. They had about 40 (really), maybe that's why they went under.
15. I picked it up in WHSmith, flicked through for 15 seconds and put it back. All review items seem to come from the same few places now. Bass Direct, Bass Gear supplied items are very common now.
16. So they've cut production costs significantly but not passed any savings to the buyer ? Hmmm, don't think I'd pay £1k for a MIM whatever the quality as I'd know how much they're making on it. Still want one though .
17. Nice mixture there. Love the colour of the 4003.
18. Email Ashdown tech and ask them: http://www.ashdownmusic.com/tech/tech_service.asp
19. Maybe ask if they intended for the designs of both the 40/60 to be as versatile as they are. Were they made on purpose to emulate certain other instruments or is it just a side effect of the specification ?
20. I have 2 guitars and a keyboard for a change of scenery every few weeks. When I come back to bass its like home again.

Yamaha BBs

Me and my BB614 from 2007.
22. Me and dood are also guitar fans so we'll be involved in the inception and admin side of things.
23. I think the fundamental is key. If its your 5th fret G you might get it on 10th D but not 15th A.
