1. Not much to tell from the pic is there ? I'd expect this to be highly dubious and not a patch on a real one.
2. ezbass if you have to choose one go for the LBGS - it's 100% bass whereas this one is about 25%. But Overwater will be there, which is reason enough for me (plus it's a <10 min drive from my house). Bass Direct are also considering the option, their issue also being the closeness of the LBGS.
3. Anyone going ? http://www.ukguitarshows.co.uk/
4. Please add a value to give people an idea what to offer in trade .
5. Personally i'd rather have a few midrange instruments than one top end - thus my psychological limit is £750. I think you can get (almost) any sound for that price so anything above that for me - is ostentatious.
6. That Fiesta Red one is absolutely stunning. My evil side wants it to have a relic job and be advertised as a 1962 Dingwall... muhahahaha. Any soundclips of the P anywhere Wazoo ?
7.
London Bass Guitar Show?
Obviously!
8.
and up!!!!please don't make silly offers like the squire plus 150 pound or would you accept £700?
Did either of these ACTUALLY happen ?
9. D'Addario Chromes for me ! Love them.
10. With the cost of fuel and price of parking in London - it makes sense if we can all help each other. Anyone going to LBGS with spare seats that doesn't mind picking people up en route ?! Post here ! The day you are going, route taken and deviation from route ? e.g. going from Manchester to London on Sat 3rd March, dont mind 5 mile deviation from M6/M40 on the way there/back ! Also for anyone that can't get there themselves - post where you are and how far from the nearest route to London you are etc. I would expect people wishing to take advantange of this will offer to contribute to fuel/parking etc Of course I will add my interest in this - anyone passing Birmingham (1.5 mile from M6 J7) able to give a lift on the Sat ?!
11. Whoa, zombie thread revival !
12. Great lineup... need to order my ticket.
13. Are you sure it wasn't the preamp that was overloading ? Not sure if it has a light to tell you.
14. anisron - since this was put up for sale 7 months ago you might be better off messaging the seller to see if they still have it rather than hoping they'll check this thread .
15. Been using PMT Birmingham for about 8 years and have always had good service (when I can find someone that is - don't go there on a Saturday afternoon !). They've chopped and changed (Dave Sheriff moving away from bass to PA) and there are a couple of flamboyant looking egotarts (but they play guitar) but they don't pretend to know about bass and have always found someone who does to help rather than try and BS their way through it.
16. I once bought a 2nd hand bass where the strings and guitar in general smelt quite strongly of a marijuana - it wasn't pleasant and took a string change and lots of lemon oil to resolve !

These are my Dads... Burns Marvin 64 (Signed certificate) Tokai LS-75 (Bought from Gordon Giltrap, signed) Epiphone Swingster (fitted with flatwounds) He also has an 80's Squier Strat (Torino Red) upgraded with MIA pickups and hardware which is awesome.
18. Old ones certainly won't be. New ones (after they brought out the HH series a couple of years ago) I also doubt, since it'd cost more to route all SR5 bodies than just the ones they needed to. That said - if it's the difference between keeping it and selling it if you like it otherwise - it's worth the cost of routing and a new pickup.
19. Hi davydisco - in the future please find your original thread and update it rather than creating a new one each time . To do this you can go to your Profile and search for 'My Content'. Thanks.
20. Time for a more recent pic...
21. The Vintage should be perfectly useable - I doubt there's much difference between them and the Squiers.
22. A sound that works at home might just about work in a practise studio, but transfer that to a larger venue which wasn't designed with music playback in mind (a pub, wedding marquee etc) and if you're stubborn enough not to change your tone then you may very well not be heard at all. I don't have 'my tone', I make myself and my gear adaptable enough for most situations.
23. If you want bids please put your item on eBay. If you don't want to do this then set a firm price and do not invite offers.
