1. I'd be very surprised if TW wouldn't help you out. Have you tried contacting them directly ? I would also expect OW to show an interest rather than simply defer you.
2. Yes but not at the same scale. It wont save money realistically as you'll also need the neck pocket deepened. You'd be better of selling and getting what you really want.
3.
Oh, and FWIW he's a thoroughly nice guy; he used to be one of the sales guys in A1 music when I used to go there. Perfectly humble too.
I chatted to Nigel a few weeks ago at the Brum Guitar Show and he was friendly and chatty - told me the story about how he sold his Overwater bass and bought it back years later.
4. Seems far too cheap. I hate to ask this - but are you sure it's not stolen etc ?
5. Just go to the My Settings page (click on your username at top right of page) then click on Manage Attachments, you can review and remove your attachments/pics there .
6. Had my ABM300 for 5 years now and still happy with it. Only thing its needed was a cheap repair to the valve circuit. Fantastic rock amp and im sure with the right cab it could do anything.
7.
So new users come and go, but at least people are coming and going and surely that's the sign of a healthy forum. I'd hate for this to become a clique instead of a community.
This is another key point. If it's just the same people buying/selling as regular it'll be the same gear circulating around all the time (this happened a lot when it was <1000 members).
8. I've played the T-Bird 4 pictured above at Brum Guitar show last week. Wish I heard it in a quieter setting but felt great.
9.
No moderator comment?
My opinion on this matter is that if a minimum post count were required, someone may not bother sticking around to put their item up for sale and never visit the forum again. This for me is a negative aspect as it will mean no-one will get the opportunity to buy it whether they're regular or not. I'd rather everyone got a chance for a bargain and 1 in 25 people hang around to contribute in the long term than we forced people to post before selling.
10. Must be - as this is a thread about giving people a lift.
11.
You can only see the eBay forum if you are logged in. Did you have to log in to make your post?
This.
12. Take a look at http://www.musicground.com/. The subtitle between the 2 Strats is 'The Supreme Courts of Rock & Roll'. Bet they didn't expect that to be so literal .
13. As long as youre keeping the MFD pickups then its not too much heresy !
14.
When I read the thread title, the little voice in my head sounded like Manuel from Fawlty Towers.
"Where have a the bongos gone ?!"
15. I'll be hanging around the [s]toilets[/s] Bass Direct stand in my BC polo, say hello if you're there !
16. This weekend for anyone interested
17. Not me either. But thanks for reminding me I have one...
18. I'll be sporting mine next Saturday at the Great British Guitar Show .
19. I generally stick with the original unless it's beyond me and then I will simply it, sometimes I might add a few 5ths/octaves in to spice it up if it's simple but certainly nothing extravagant !

Blues?

Recently i've been getting massively into blues - specifically Steve Ray Vaughan, BB King, Joe Bonamassa and George Thorogood. A lot of it is predictable to listen to - but I just love it.
21. http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?app=forums&module=forums&section=rules&f=19 This forum is not for people to link their eBay items to - if you wish to list here you must state a price and deal with people via the forum, thanks
22.
Agreed, will check out on the day, and if limits are in place, park in the Kings Mall car-park in Hammersmith - £9 a day. Still better than endless tubing.
There's a great cafe/deli on the way there (about half way to the venue on right hand side). Get there early and get some brekkie ! I'm still trying to find a way to get there without driving myself on my tod !
23.
Is that car park OK inside or is it really narrow and difficult with a wide and long car?
It was niceguyhomers Mondeo so not a small car but can't be sure for your frog barge. Watch out when you open the boot though - low ceilings.
24.
Anyone got any tips on good parking near the event? I usually park at Edgware, then get the tube in, but any helpful tips would be most appreciated. The parking at the venue is about £25.
Last year we parked at a multistorey in Hammersmith £9 for the day - a 20 min walk to the show (see here http://maps.google.c...177.76,,0,-0.28) I'm also after a lift for this year if anyone is passing Birmingham on the M6 ! Fuel/parking will be contributed to .
25.
You can admire from afar, young fella me lad...... awesome as it is
Been doing that for about 6 weeks with binoculars by the lime tree outside your house. I want the real thing.
