1. Take a look at http://www.musicground.com/. The subtitle between the 2 Strats is 'The Supreme Courts of Rock & Roll'. Bet they didn't expect that to be so literal .
2. As long as youre keeping the MFD pickups then its not too much heresy !
3.
When I read the thread title, the little voice in my head sounded like Manuel from Fawlty Towers.
"Where have a the bongos gone ?!"
4. I'll be hanging around the [s]toilets[/s] Bass Direct stand in my BC polo, say hello if you're there !
5. This weekend for anyone interested
6. Not me either. But thanks for reminding me I have one...
7. I'll be sporting mine next Saturday at the Great British Guitar Show .
8. I generally stick with the original unless it's beyond me and then I will simply it, sometimes I might add a few 5ths/octaves in to spice it up if it's simple but certainly nothing extravagant !

Blues?

Recently i've been getting massively into blues - specifically Steve Ray Vaughan, BB King, Joe Bonamassa and George Thorogood. A lot of it is predictable to listen to - but I just love it.
10. http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?app=forums&module=forums&section=rules&f=19 This forum is not for people to link their eBay items to - if you wish to list here you must state a price and deal with people via the forum, thanks
11.
Agreed, will check out on the day, and if limits are in place, park in the Kings Mall car-park in Hammersmith - £9 a day. Still better than endless tubing.
There's a great cafe/deli on the way there (about half way to the venue on right hand side). Get there early and get some brekkie ! I'm still trying to find a way to get there without driving myself on my tod !
12.
Is that car park OK inside or is it really narrow and difficult with a wide and long car?
It was niceguyhomers Mondeo so not a small car but can't be sure for your frog barge. Watch out when you open the boot though - low ceilings.
13.
Anyone got any tips on good parking near the event? I usually park at Edgware, then get the tube in, but any helpful tips would be most appreciated. The parking at the venue is about £25.
Last year we parked at a multistorey in Hammersmith £9 for the day - a 20 min walk to the show (see here http://maps.google.c...177.76,,0,-0.28) I'm also after a lift for this year if anyone is passing Birmingham on the M6 ! Fuel/parking will be contributed to .
14.
You can admire from afar, young fella me lad...... awesome as it is
Been doing that for about 6 weeks with binoculars by the lime tree outside your house. I want the real thing.
15. Can I touch your beard too ?
16.
I know i'm only in Birmingham, If anyone's driving through, can I scam a lift? Happy to share fuel costs etc. Means I can bring more stuff!!!
Despite my non-weirdo playing style - I may frequent this bash. If so you've got a lift . I will however bring some non cack-handed instruments so I don't feel totally freaked out.
17. I drive past the Jaydee workshop daily and it still amazes me how a scabby looking industrial unit can make some of the most famous basses in the world.
18. Squier Bronco for me and no regrets. It was short scale which was something I didnt know when I bought it !
19. I'd put up with that ! Lovely looking instrument in a less than predictable colour
20. Hi - please see forum rules located here: http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?app=forums&module=forums&section=rules&f=19 You must state a price for your item and ideally include pictures here - not a lazy link to eBay.
21. Ah that explains it then . That's pretty much the sound i'm trying to get from mine but it's just too bright at the moment (and cutting the treble muffles the mids too much).

SOLD

I had a Q6 Pro (Holoflash black) - very tight and clean sounding bass. Shouldn't have sold mine .
23.
It appears to be this re-sizing that is causing the problems for some browsers on older (slower) computers.
Time to upgrade from your Commodore 64 . I'm running a 1.9Ghz Intel Mobile CPU with 0.5GB RAM (laptop is about 7 years old) and not having any issues with avatars loading.
24. Loved that video. Sounds like flats on that P bass ?
25.
I see that nothing's been done about this as another huge animated avatar (over 500k) has just appeared.
Sorry, that'll be my fault. I fell asleep on watching people upload avatars duty .
