1. I work for a bank that only upgraded from IE6 this year - lots of places still on it, mostly due to not wanting to develop their old applications for IE8. That said - I don't think moderm websites should have to support it, it puts a limit on certain things that can be included that rely on more current standards of browser.
2. I go through phases of one being a favourite and the others not getting much attention. At the moment the Overwater and L2000 get the most air time with the Thunderbird getting picked up more occasionally (once a week or so). My defretted Yamaha RBX has been out of commission for far too long (2 years or so !) due to a failed refinish (should be done again within 2 weeks), when that's put back together and rewired it'll be like having a new instrument !
3. I can see in the admin console it's an installable plugin so we'll look at getting it (re)enabled .

Yeah mine has gone too, looks like that isn't a field that was migrated .
5. Thanks for the info .
6.
Has anyone adjusted their truss rod yet? I need to slacken mine a little as the neck is perfectly straight and there's some slight string buzz (nothing that you don't get on any other bass and easily sorted out). I'm just not sure which way it needs to go to give it a slight bow.
Yes. But I can't remember which way I went ! I tightened the rod to lower the action, i think it was probably clockwise, usually is. I'm yet to play an Aspiration - would be interested to see how they compare with the Contemporary J (same pickups but different woods/EQ). For me, the CJ5 easily sits proud in the position of the Progress it replaced. I feel it lacks nothing in comparison in terms of sound or feel, more cosmetics and build quality (which for me, is not even near to being worth another £2400 on top of this).
7. Try this link ? http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?app=core&module=usercp That's probably the page you're looking for but I can't see any formatting options there, the help page might have been for the older version.
8. In that case, I can only assume the user/password entry forms are not recognised as such (as they seem to be an overlay form). Chrome is remembering mine OK when I try and log back in.
9. Agreed - I'm missing it too ! I think it should be feasible for the mobile version to be used when that's up and running.

Yes, Off-Topic posts don't count to your total except when viewing your profile.
11. It's a browser issue - it's failing to recognise the site is one it has details for and automatically enter them.
12. It appears in that case the user has set the font size to the smallest available out of choice so that is their decision ! Also the default font is possibly not dark enough which doesn't help, we'll have a look at it.
13. Try clearing your cookies and temporary internet files, if that doesn't work you may need to clear your stored passwords. It's probably caused by Firefox being confused with the new layout.
14. Current speed issues are totally unrelated to your bandwidth. The server is being hammered at the moment converting and moving old threads/PMs/attachments etc so once that's done - it should be faster.
15. Try uploading it again, it might be a side effect of the move.
16. Looks like the mobile version only works on iPhones as my Android just loads the site the same as my PC, hmmm.
17. *testing* Took about 3 seconds to submit and appear on the thread.. As with most software upgrades, a newer version generally has more content and does more in the background than the old version did. This will lead to a slight slight increase in processing time in general.
18. I got a toolkit from Aldi which has about 20 allen keys plus all sorts of screwdrivers and bitholders etc, cost about £8 and has everything I've ever needed.
19. Here's another awesome website for bassists .
20. I'm sure Nick Wells is running the website, he recently signed up here with a new address.
21. Not much info on the site really ? Is it free ?!
22.
Are they also offering refunds to those who can't attend the new date?
Surely they would be obliged to in law ? I'm starting to think it's just going to be a Marcus Miller gig with a couple of support acts and a few stands.
23. £27 ?! That has to be to cover high artist fees. The venue overheads will be lower so there is no excuse. I've seen Marcus Miller already (for free) so I won't be going. Get less and pay more ? Sounds like the Government decided the new prices.
24. I traded in my expensive Overwater for 2 much 'cheaper' instruments (both around £600). Since then, i've found i'm happier with the diversity and focus more on my playing than wishing it was something else. So for me, having the wrong gear doesn't stop you being good but having the right gear can make you more focused on it.
25. Sounds good. New album is today isn't it ?
