  1. Ready to post in the new year!
  2. Yep. Totally!! Gold tones…..
  3. NOW SOLD THANKS ALL Great sound for recording your bass or any other acoustic instrument including voices. Nice compressor and eq. I used with great results in my home studio but now have a new desk and interface so this sadly needs a new home. In great condition with power supply included. A powerful and rare vintage that has the authentic Joe Meek flavour. Collection from Aylesbury or postage at cost.
  4. Now sold! Cheers guys
  5. Reduced to £15 plus p&p (maybe £17 ish…?)
  6. NOW SOLD! Much thanks all…. Picked this up recently but I’ve replaced with a new wah instead. In mint condition with original box, instructions and pedal adjustment tool. Collection from Aylesbury or can be posted. What say ye bass men?
  7. My stunning ACG has arrived so this is a good time to negotiate… hint, hint😉
  8. SORTED PLEASE DELETE!! Long shot… This is a slightly used item (took it off a new bass) because I want to complete a set of Gotoh gb707 gold. So I want to swap this bass side/right side ‘Resolite’ gb350 for a bass side/right side gb707 in gold finish. Used in good condition is fine by me. Anyone?
  9. I have 6 sets of unused double ball strings (for headless bass) by Newtone Strings UK. These are left over from a batch I had when I was playing an ACG headless bass. Bright, playable with decent lasting reliability and priced competitively in the market. Details below. Check the length of your strings before purchase please. Compare to minimum length of your tuning mechanism to see if there is enough remaining adjusting for proper tuning. Note: If too long (medium/short scale instruments) you can still use these if you are prepared to clamp and cut the excess string (if your instrument has this feature). I did on other instruments with no issues. Brand: Newtone Guage: 46-130 Material: Stainless steel Core: Hex Length: 36.6”/93.3cm (winding length between balls). £13 posted per set or £65 posted for all 6. I also have a used set of Status flat wounds that came with a new instrument and immediately removed, that I’ll chuck in for a £5. (Great for Fretless or Motown kind of grooves). For whoever wants I’ll chuck in an unused Rotosound high ’C’ for free.
  10. Reduced to £15 plus p&p. An original, unused single D string. Orchestra tuning number 782, Chromium steel with black silk end. Has this a few years, and never used, wrapping is tatty but string is mint. So consider this new old stock. Included is the ‘bridge protector’ metal groove. Price includes postage to UK.
  11. [NOW SOLD] *Great fretless sound , pro set up, good parts, gig bag included, could be a way to get in to fretless quickly/easily/cheaply……what’s not to like?😉 *Price includes U.K. postage* (£250 if buyer sorts postage) This is actually a Tanglewood Musicman copy. A really well made instrument, (I also have a fretted one)and in good condition. It was converted to Fretless then set up by Martin Petersen of The Bass Gallery, London. *Neck: 34”/21 (frets), is quite stable (maple), with an Ebony fingerboard lined with dark lines. It’s attached to body with 6 screws and a chrome plate. The headstock is laminated with a “Love Pump’ logo. (removable I’m sure) No obvious dead spots! *Body: (wood?) is solid and it was modified with a core wood (maple?), and it’s a Sunburst finish with a black plastic scratch plate and chrome control plate. *Nut: Lignum Vitae (rare and expensive hard wood). Original cheap plastic nut long gone. Keeping the organic vibe!!!!!! *Hardware: All chrome: tuners, bridge, string tree, strap pins and knobs on a plate. *Electronics: single Musicman style Humbucker with two coils. *Controls: volume, master tone, 4 way rotary switch (single front coil, single rear coil, dual series coils, dual parallel coils). All useful tones in there. *Strings: Thomastik Infield Jazz 345 flatwounds. Great and not cheap! * 18mm: string spacing. * Gig bag: included! This instrument sounds great and sings all the way from top to bottom. The ‘B’ is really good for a 34” scale. Sounds way beyond its price tag!!!!!!! Can be seen/tried/bought in Aylesbury but courier can be buyer arranged…I will pack as securely as I can. Message me for any more details. ** can deliver on rote to a gig if on route or a reasonable detour ** Offers considered!!!!
  12. Gotcha. I got this one from the original owner (hope he’s not too mad at this), so it won’t be yours. They are great aren’t they? I can’t keep them all sadly…😤😞 But thanks…👍🏽😎

More details/information: This was converted to Fretless and set up by Martin Petersen at The Bass Gallery London. Only up for sale as just had a new born…….from ACG (not what you thought😉). All the work professionally done as it was intended to be kept but my friend Alan Cringean who made me my main fretted bass, has offered me an unrefusable Fretless deal! 🤐 Plays, sounds and looks beautiful. In excellent condition for its age. Plus if you’re unaware of the build quality of the originalJapanese ‘Bass Collection’ brand….do your research! Coffee/tea/biscuits offered at Aylesbury for viewing/trials if you wish. edit: The combination of the EMG pickups, Aguilar pre-amp and Ghost piezos worked so well and offers a fantastic array of tones with all being useful. From Jaco, Pino, to Willis, Miller and then to you. Looks and plays fantastic!! The bass owes me near £675 with all included but I’m asking lower for a quick (smart) sale. Orderly queue and behaviour please….😉😅 **can deliver on route to a gig if within a reasonable detour …**
  14. Having interest so I’ll update as soon as I know better….
  15. NOW SOLD! Thanks guys. I had these on one of my two basses on a trial period and they stayed on for about a year but with far less work than normal (based on Covid-19 reduced gigs and that I used my other bass a bit more because it’s lighter in weight. Lazy!!) Thus they are full of life and could be used immediately or as a good backup set or as a ‘trial’. I used only for pizzicato but they are supposed to be great for Arco. Note: They are the ‘solo’ set and meant to be tuned a tone higher but fine at regular pitch. (Slightly less tension…) Do your review research…may be ideal. Postage to the UK possible at cost..
  16. NOW SOLD! Thinning the collection down: Here’s a vintage in great working condition. I got this as it is and have kept and used it for a few years with both double/upright and electric bass on gigs and at home but now sadly it has to go where it’s going to be hopefully cared, used and appreciated! They were very expensive back in the day and the standard for double bass players (I seen them with the great Ron Carter in the flesh). Now many more small combos exist and even newer versions of this but these can sometimes sound very digital and the newer versions didn’t seem to be as reliable. •Read details carefully please: Previously owed by a friend, fellow bass player and engineer, it was cared and modified by him. *The speaker is not the original. I’m not sure what it is but certainly handles the low end better and is warmer than the original (which blew up). *A tweeter pair with an on/off switch has been added (barely seen easily removed but I left it and did use it especially with electric bass for slap or other music genres that need the extra top end sizzle). Can be switched off if necessary. * Top handle was replaced for safety and reliability. Other than that, all else original as far as I know and can see. Great sound and sturdy build (metal case) in a combo format, it’s very portable and great size for the small to medium gigs or at home as a ‘proper professional practice’ and not a ‘convenient cheap combo’ (see what I did there? 😎). 150 watts, 4 ohm with 12” speaker (and tweeters). Collection from Aylesbury offered for trials/piece of mind and safety. Shipping possible at buyers’ cost.
  17. Trade option: I’m after a double bass (3/4 acoustic) gig bag…..so what have you got?...😉
  18. Agreed!!! This is the longest I have kept an amp head because I really do like it (tones and functionality). But shockingly shite knobs!!!😡 They literally break like biscuits!! Hence my posts to help others with this crap….
  19. So…… Switch covers sorted now! Got some from Real Electronics (5 cost me £18…phew!!! Not cheap) Not a hard job. Just do with care… pics added
