  1. No one does re-finishing🤔! That bad/hard a job that I get silence🤐?……😖 🫨
  2. Picked up a cheapie that I like and have been slowly (and against what I thought I’d do with it) upgrading/modding. Thinking about refinishing the body as it’s a bit…untidy. Just seeing if it can be done reasonably well without getting silly financially. So starting here on the homegrown! 🤔💡 All ideas welcome.👍🏾
  3. Damn! Been looking for one…. I’m still a Badass believer!
  4. Ps: I owned cabs before with ‘whizzer’ cone design and always felt that I needed a tweeter (especially for slap style), but somehow it didn’t feel like that with this… I own better basses now? Ears improved with age? I now use the ‘right’ strings? 🤷🏽‍♂️ Or is it just a well designed cab?🤔
  5. Came with it! Clever idea 💡 🎶
  6. *SOLD* Bought this here for a band but never used so sat in my closet taking up space. Now needs to be moved on. I’ll be happy to just get back what I paid for a cab of highly a respected brand. Checked over, cleaned, played at home and it sounds great! Light, portable (integrated trolley) and comes with decent cover. Collection from Aylesbury or shipping at cost. (Can deliver if possible) More info here: SPECIFICATIONS: Model: EX112 Power handling: 300W Inputs: 1 x 1/4" input Frequency Response: 42Hz - 12KHz Speaker Configuration: 1x12" Eden-designed Speaker (with whizzer cone) Unit impedance: 4 Ohm Sensitivity: 101dB SPL at 1W1M
  7. I’ve been gigging Definitely try it!! I’ve been gigging with a QSC CP8 for the last few years and it’s been really good. It’s also more basic and cheaper than the K series. To be fair this is for either Double Bass or smaller jobs as I use my AER combo for bigger things but I’m sure if I wanted a rig for the big jobs (or didn’t like my AER so much), that I could use the big brother to the QSC or something of that quality. It makes sense to have full range at your disposal. For years I was getting fed up of using ‘brand’ name bass amps/cabs/combos that ‘coloured’ my natural bass sound too much that I used them by plugging into the return input. Until I tried the AER which is expensive but has a nice ‘colour’ (nothing is really flat), and then I gravitated to PA active cabs. Sorry bass amp manufacturers…..🤐 *ps: Coincidentally the only amp head I still own and kept the longest in my buying record is a TC RH750. It one that I could live with (maybe one day I’ll find the ideal cab for it), as a back up. Best of luck in your quest 🤞🏾
  8. Well….it does take a bit of patience and courage (financial bravery too)! However the feel good factor is worth it! ps: not sure if I’ll keep mines….I’m out of space and amp/cab/combo happy but never owned SWR before so had too. The ‘Redhead’ was my dream but never got one sadly. So don’t be surprised if it appears on BC……at some point! Just don’t hold your breath lads. I’m gonna enjoy it a bit😎
  9. Best of luck with this!👍🏾 Hope the laundry comes out fine as well🤭
  10. Thanks for the responses guys! I got brave did a bit of research and engineering and it’s been sorted!!! Sounds so good that I’m taking it to tomorrow’s gig (with a backup of course) as a test. Aural Enhancer rules!! 😎
  11. I hear ya and noted! Thanks👍🏾
  12. Hey guys, Hoping to make this a DIY (if not above my level) and not have to trouble my technician or my pocket too much! I picked this up and upon arrival I heard tumbling noises in the box. Turns out that it’s the transformer. I pushed the brown wire back onto the switch (seemed obvious) but not sure about the blue and green (if they go anywhere). Not sure that’s the original transformer as well🤷🏽‍♂️🫣 But I was assured that it worked perfectly (before being sent). Thoughts? Thanks guys SWR Workingmans 10 schem Rev 02_.pdf Workingman's 15-2004 Control Panel PCB.pdf
  13. (NOW SOLD) Little combos I used for the kids and myself to play/practise on. Came in handy at the time but now they’re taking up space. Kids grew up too!! Both for £25 or £15 each, collected from Aylesbury or posted at cost. Ask away if more info needed.
  14. …..didn’t see a pm….?
  15. *Found this online: Weight 17 lbs (7,6 kg * I have used it with electric bass and to be honest, while is very nice sounding, it would be pushed to do a full on gig. (Especially with 5 string), but really nice for low volume gigs. *The socket,I believe, is for stand mounting.
  16. Sold one locally last week and the guy can’t stop thanking me! He had a HEAVY old Peavey 2x10 and he bought one of the 2x10 from me and says it sounds better and is smaller and lighter (and cheaper)! Win, win, win, win!!!!
  17. Versatile if slightly big…. Big in quality however👌🏽
  18. Great volume/wah combo in smaller package!
  19. *NOW SOLD* You know the quality and cost of these products! (My main gigging rig is the AER Amp 2 combo. Almost unbeatable!!) I’m putting here first to give fellow BCers a change before eBay and that sort…. This smaller one, though older, works perfectly and has an original fabric cover (to which I added a bottom to protect the bottom of the combo). Versatile and clean with a couple of channels and effects (if needed) and works great with instruments & vocals. Look online for details and reviews. I used at home mostly to practice (especially nice with my Double Bass and Acoustic Bass Guitar), hence the great condition. Collection from Aylesbury or postage at cost possible to UK.
  20. Swift and pleasant transaction with the Lozz man! 👍🏾 👍🏾 (deserves a double)
