I bought a book off Mickey. It was a textbook deal and I can only echo what others have said - he’s a top BC’er to do business with.

I would do this with a second hand bass I bought from somewhere/someone trusted but the person who deps for me in my indie once apparently (I wasn't there obviously) showed up to the gig with a sealed cardboard box. He used a pen knife to take the staples out, pulled the plastic wrap off and unleashed his new Sire V7. It had been delivered as he was packing the car. That's commitment, have you seen the way some delivery basses arrive new from warehouses?
That Nash is GORGEOUS. I have been on the lookout for just such a vintage-looking super p. If you don't bond with it, let me know first?
Thanks - we seem well & truly bonded at present but I guess you never know….

I collected a Nash P bass from @Skin Lewis yesterday lunchtime and thought I’d play it for the first set at yesterday’s gig in Bath. It sounded so good, I carried on til the end and my main bass became my spare.
I can’t be the only one to get a new bass and gig it immediately surely?

I’ve just collected a Nash P bass from Dave in a smooth and easy deal. One of Basschat’s finest!

This one... a Groove Shoppe GS5.
The Groove Shoppe were a specialist bass gear retailer based in Long Island, NY, and designed their own basses. I think about 26 or so got made.
Don't have any pictures of my own at the moment, so picture credit to the poster on the TB thread.
I've had it since July 2008.
More about it here

Hey @Gwilym, the bass I’ve had 2nd longest is the MTD 535 I bought off you many years ago.

I still have the 1985 Stingray fretless I bought in 1987 or 88 from Julia Fordham’s bass player.
I’ve been through many different fretted basses but this one has always felt and sounded just right to me.

Thanks for posting Michael, I always enjoy reading about your big gigs and seeing the photos.

Muzz bought a cab off me in a very smooth deal. Clear comms and doing what he said when he said he’d do it etc. Recommended!

Chris has just bought from me in a text book deal…..quick and clear comms and prompt payment. Recommended!

I recommend James Owston although I can't remember which bow he uses. I'll PM you his number & location.

I bought this new last October and it’s done 5 or 6 gigs but I prefer my other IEM system for this current band.
Everything works fine, it’s in excellent condition and it comes complete with all documents and the charging cable in the original box.
Price includes UK shipping but happy for collection or a meet-up subject to where, when and my gig travels.

A well-used SKB case full of various cables from my old PA from the early 2000s. The photos give you a good idea what’s there but there are some long speaker leads in there, grey with Speakons and black with jacks, which are more recent (perhaps 10years old) and in good condition.
Collection is preferred but I may be able to deliver or meet you depending on where and my forthcoming gig travels.- 1

This mixer amp has served me well for around 25 years but I no longer need it. It has two 500w amps and can be configured with one doing monitors and the other FOH with separate graphic eq’s and volumes, or just FOH 500w per side.
Cosmetically, it’s clearly well used. After a few months of use, a band mate managed to crack the corner of the case which I covered with gaffa tape. Also, the 4k slider on the main graphic has snapped off. The unit continued to work perfectly after both mishaps. I have replaced the fraying gaffa with some parcel tape today.
Collection preferred or possible delivery or meet up depending on where you are and my forthcoming gig travels. -
I no longer have any need for these speakers which have served me well for many years. They work equally well as wedges/floor monitors and FOH on stands. Cosmetically, they are well used but never abused. Same applies to the stands.
Collection preferred but I am able to meet part way or even deliver if you’re not too far away. -
