  1. Thanks Jack, hope you're well. It's a fine bass indeed, just no longer needed following my relocation and new band requirements. I can't believe no-one has been interested at this bargain price. I plan to drop it into Bass Direct in the next week or two to see if Mark can help move it on.
  2. I bought a gig bag from Michael in a smooth and easy transaction. He held onto it for a few weeks until I had a gig near to him and I was able to collect it from him in person. He’s a good guy with great taste in basses - you can buy from him with confidence.
  3. So sorry @Matthew Canty, thinking of you at this time and remembering my fond memories of your Dad.
  4. I had given this zero thought before seeing this intriguing topic. Having given it some, here's my proposal. Arriving: Ain't no Grave - Cageless Birds & Molly Skaggs Reflection: From Gagarin's Point of View - Esbjörn Svensson Trio Departure: Like a road leading home - Albert King

  6. I’ve just sold a phaser to Jim. It was a textbook deal - Clear comms and prompt payment. He’s a top BC’er!
  7. Have just done a two-parcel purchase off Chris. A courier nightmare then ensued but they were no match for Chris’ tenacity and the items were eventually delivered after I provided video evidence of their lies. Chris went above and beyond to ensure that the couriers did what they’d been paid to do and I’m very grateful for his proactive and persistent approach. The items are exactly what I was looking for, clearly described and very well packed. As others have said, he is top of the top bananas on here. Thanks Chris!!
  8. I've just joined a Fleetwood Mac tribute band so a simple rig is what's needed now. I had about 4 weeks to learn the book before the gig which was fine. I've stripped my pedal board down to a TC tuner and a SansAmp VT DI. I played my Limelight "Pino" all night but took my '89 Ray as a spare. I'm working on getting a bitsa P as my back-up. I used my trusty Little Mark II amp and Barefaced 2x12 cab. I bought a Xvive wireless IEM system to go with my ZS10s and everything worked & sounded great. We have lots of gigs booked & a great drummer so I'm looking forward to treading the boards again after a quiet 2022 & 23.
  9. Chris has just bought my HX Stomp XL in a textbook deal. Good comms & prompt payment. Thanks Chris!
  10. I bought this in January for a band I have since left. I simply don’t need this level of programmability and variety of sounds in my new band so time to let it go. It's got velcro on the back to mount it on a board and comes with the PSU, box and manual. I might consider trades for a nice SVT-alike preamps (Ampeg SGT-DI or Origin?) but nothing else. I won't reset it, so it'll come with some patches the previous owner bought online, 3 or 4 I created and the most recent firmware. Collection from near Stourbridge or I will post within the UK for £10. You can find my feedback here: https://www.basschat.co.uk/topic/77960-feedback-for-ptb

  11. I’ve played upright for many years so buying this seemed the natural thing to do a few years ago. Truth is that I’ve hardly used it except for a few hours at home. It’s never been gigged or out of the house as I simply prefer my DB. It has Spirocores with plenty of life in them and there’s an extra pick-up (a J Tone, per the previous owner) and a useful stand to keep it safe. This deserves to be played so it needs a new owner. Given the size etc, this is collection only but I’m up for traveling a bit to meet halfway if needed.
  12. I bought this great sounding phaser for a band that was doing specific numbers that needed it. I’ve now left that band to join another and it’s no longer needed. It’s in great condition, with the original box. The price is now £65 which includes UK shipping.
  13. I met with Keir to collect the bass I bought from him. The whole thing went as smooth as can be and he's a top fella to deal with and chew the fat with, especially as we both love our MusicMan's. Thanks Keir!
  14. Home now and basses all tucked up for the night. Really enjoyable meeting you all & thanks again to the organisers. The bass highlights for me were @floFC’s Kramer(great front p/up tone & lighter than expected), @SimBass’s Eminence EUB (far superior to my KK) and, at number 1, @emperormingus’s JMJ Mustang with flats ( I want one now!!).
  15. Joel bought my pedalboard in a smooth and easy transaction. Thanks Joel, good to meet you!
  16. Possibly. Please PM me with your suggestions.
  17. @Richard R: Brawley 4 and 5 string, EBS session 60 amp, cheap Aeon sustainer, scales to weight basses with, cake @petecarlton: Shuker Nuclear Device Jean-Jacques Burnel Signature Lite P-bass, Mayones Cali 4 Triskelion travel bass, Bugera Veryron BV 1001M Mosfet head, Ashdown Studio 210 combo, bits and pieces - and cake @Machines: Dingwall D-Roc 5, Dingwall NG-3, Warwick Gnome 280w + Ashdown RM210 (probably) @Andyjr1515: SWAAPATWTBWADS Bubinga Fretless, probably Pete's Swift lightweight piccolo build and maybe also his (not lightweight) EB-3 tribute @Ander87 Some of the gear in his signature - Rickenbacker 4003, MM Stingray Special 4HH, Fender AO Precision 60s, a few pedals on a Nano + Ampeg SVT 2 Pro Premiere + Barefaced Six10 @Frank Blank: Jabba short scale fretted, Jabba short scale fretless, Nordstrand Acinonyx, QSC K12.2, whichever preamp I'm using at the time. @NickA: couple of Wals and a Dolphin. You've all seen and played the mk1 fretless, and the dolphin, but I got a mk2 5er just before the prices went silly. Some PJB stuff too. Might bring the double bass .. how big is the room? @PTB: MTD 535, Limelight Pino replica, possibly a MusicMan, MarkBass combo, HX XL & extension leads 😎
  18. This is excellent stuff and relevant to me too. Thanks!
  19. I had one of these back in the 90s, fantastic bass, wonderful craftsmanship & tone. GLWTS.
  20. Smanth bought an item from me in a textbook deal. Clear comms & prompt payment. She’s a top BC’er!
  21. Oh heck! Thanks for your eagle eyes - I trusted my labelling from 8-9 years ago so it looks like I have sent the Eurosonics out in error. I will DM the recipient and amend the above. If the recipient doesn't want the Eurosonics, I will DM you and try and get them to you.
  22. A rough guess for the Slaps would be 60 gigs at 2 hours each x 2 years = 240 hours. The Eurosonics would be around 150 hours.
