  1. A sister to mine - this killed my GAS - imo the perfect bass GLWTS
  2. There's a whole forum for that: https://www.basschat.co.uk/forum/94-live-photos-videos/
  3. You too eh? I have a STEREO pressing of Going Places that I can't find listed anywhere - it has a different catalogue number than the stereo UK pressing listed on discogs
  4. The cooling fan on my laptop protesting that it's after 7pm on Friday and it wants to go home.

    Hello

Bienvenido a basschat Dile adios a tu dinero
  6. They've got Ed Sheeran on now.....you have to get in early to get control of the roof speakers - getting in early isn't really my thing.
  7. Listening back to old LP records that had the mistakes left on makes me cringe. Knowing exactly where and what they are probably makes it a million times worse than it really is. <Cue some smartarse trying to reassure me by stating that they're not a million times worse but bleedin' obvious to any listener>
  8. Oi! Oi! Saveloy!
  9. The german girls are currently playing Wham! Club Tropicana loudly in the office!
  10. Are you sure @Teebs is a 'him' ?
  11. yes, ideally. I have a bass with 2 cavities where this isn't the case and it is silent too.
  12. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Incudo-Copper-Shielding-Sheet-Self-Adhesive/dp/B00A235WDA A fiver for enough to do a few cavities. All that's required then is a sharp scalpel or scissors to cut it with and some paper and scissors to make templates.
  13. I use these guys https://www.insure4music.co.uk/ I've never had to claim so I can't comment on their claim handling but their cover seems reasonable enough and easy to set up.
  14. My cigarette consumption has increased dramatically as I seek solace in the silence of the car park.
  15. And earlier I was subjected to this:
  16. Sharing an office with German 20 something women has its drawbacks....currently they are playing this:
  17. <tries again> Could you speak up a bit?
  18. Seems it's just Granny on her washboard these days, then.
  19. ¿Qué?
  20. Don't tell me they're still going without Mark E Smith or any original members?
  21. How many layers does it have? My 83/84 Squier branded JV has a 4ply plate
  22. Well I have made 3 precisions and have done it on all of them. They are not noisy, in fact they're silent. I can only assume the shielding helps. Considering it's cheap and easy to do, why wouldn't you?
  23. I don't know what kind of gigs you're doing but clearly you're doing better than me.
  24. I have a lead which I treat and store this way too. It's umpteen years old and works as well today as the day I bought it, which if I'm honest could have been anytime from the 80s through to the 2010s. It's not branded, just a generic cheap bright green instrument cable. I use it to connect my pedal board to my amp so it gets plenty of work.
  25. But fans still have their favourite tunes irrespective of chart success. A band doesn't need chart success to have fans who are willing to pay to see them play. We play tunes from the entire back catalogue. Having a 'big hit' isn't really relevant. We are always compared to the 'original lineup' despite that lineup only putting out a small proportion of the catalogue. I know that when we bring on former members of the band our fans feel privileged to experience that.
