  1. Relax Don't worry about it. Getting in a fluster and overthinking will harm your performance.
  2. We have a whole forum for this kind of thing. Got a whole thread of them here: - there are many more on youtube
  3. I only ever take:- 9V battery (if I remember to pack one) for the Sterling Spare 12AX7valve for my DHA pedal (lives in my pedal bag permanently - not needed one yet) A screwdriver - to open the pedal if necessary to get the duff valve out (if I remember to pack it) A spare lead. A hand towel A pair of underpants - an accidental pre-show self soiling incident could ruin a show

    Hello!

    Are you into headless basses?
  5. What are you reading? and What are you listening to? That would get the audiobooks covered good and proper and one wouldn't have to get embarrassed that one was listening to Stephen Fry rather than thumbing page 78
  6. Nah Can't say I ever have HTH
  7. Is that Boston Lincolnshire or Boston Massachusetts ???
  8. Nate Mendel is Mexican? I thought he was from Seattle.
  9. Look pretty tacky with that cheap and nasty looking logo, the horrible 'body art' and hardly 'custom' with such a limited options list, particularly when it comes to finishes. I suspect they'll go nowhere fast
  10. Ho Tony Well he is a bit of a slag
  11. I've only ever done #1
  12. Well it seems I've failed I got tempted by an ErnieBall guitar cable in black and green https://www.thomann.de/gb/ernie_ball_instrument_cable_b_g.htm and a bottle of lemon oil SO - I'm out 'til next year
  13. What if you strut about the stage, Simon Gallup stylee? Need a whole stage worth of bass board flooring - may as well play on a thin hollow stage. I remember playing a club in Spain where they'd boarded over an empty swimming pool to make the stage. The whole stage was bouncing up and down all gig.
  14. To measure the height of the nut the measurement you want is the clearance of the string above the fretboard, at the nut, best done with feeler gauges. As to how high it should be? High enough to ensure the string clears the fretboard and frets when plucked open.
  15. Made from armadillo? Which species? Aren't they protected?
  16. I can't read so just commit everything to memory
  17. That's too much like hard work - we get the promoter to do it and send us links to appropriate places before we agree to play. So we still choose and he does the leg work. When the gigs are in foreign cities then local knowledge helps.
  18. One of the reasons we play so rarely is that we have a minimum standard of acceptable accomodation and all hotels must be approved before we commit to the gig. We ask for 4*. Almost every gig is overseas. We also will not travel on day of show so always minimum of 2 nights - we also demand single rooms for 5 of us plus our merch man. So, if you want to put us on, it's return flights for six, transfers to/from airport, 4 star accomodation for 6 in single rooms with no travelling on day of show, backline provided as per our tech rider plus, of course our fee.
  19. We were supposed to playing in Paris on 18th October but that got cancelled.....it seems our next gig may well be in Sicily in December (postponed brexit willing) but the final details still need ironing out.
  20. Guitarist plays a Jazzmaster, singer hangs a Tele or a Jaguar around his neck....... so do they play Fenders? yep - one does and the other poses with Fenders
  21. Resisted after my band mates reckoned it was both 'horrible' and it 'looks like a toaster' - having been robbed of close on £3k fitting a new boiler yesterday I'm afraid I can't justify it....but I did find the UK site on which it is £1,190
  22. That black with mint has awoken my long slumbering bass gas.............. Why do i open these threads? black/green combo is very me (my black EBMM Sterling 4HH has a green pearl plate)
  23. I'm fairly certain that they're hybrid - they certainly are on both the Barefaced cabs I own. I often play gigs with cabs supplied (as transporting cabs by easyjet isn't going to happen), using my own head - I always have a speakon to speakon and a speakon to 1/4" cable with me so I'm covered for whatever they throw at me.
  24. You write very good English. You wrote it properly. I'm merely expressing delight that you have made a decision!
