1.
If this were made by me I'd want my own name on it.
If I did that with mine it would have Gibson written on it - I think that would be somewhat confusing, don't you? Ha Ha
2. Castle Donnington, United Kingdom 19/11/2013 19:55 Arrival Scan I love UPS tracking Edit: proper diary this Ha Ha
3.
I have also run 1 x 15 and 2 x 10 Hartke cabs through a HA2000 and they sounded really good and the amp never blew up.
it wouldn't as both those cabs are 8 ohms meaning the total load is 4 ohm [8x8/8+8= 64/16 ] and HA amps do run to 4 ohms
4.
I think I recall (although this may be wishful thinking) that Alex said they could be run in parallel due to something to do with impedence but I may well be making that up???
Only with amps that run down to 2 ohms
5.
Is there anything I can do????
You could use them in series perhaps but would need a little rewiring and adding an extra speakon to one of the cabs.
6. Is the 11.18.80 on the neck pocket sticker a date per chance? 18th November 1980 ?? Possible as S serials ran a fair way into the 80s didn't they and S89* is quite a late S serial So I suspect it is 80/81 build to 78 spec.... Is there a date written on the heel of the neck?

8. Does the PF500 run down to less than 4 ohms? The S12 is a 4ohm cab and the compact is 8 ohm - using both together will give a load lower than 4ohms so you need an amp that will run down to 2 ohms - I didn't know the PF500 could do this. 4x8 / 4+8 = 32/12 = 2.666666666 ohm Edit for clarity as to what this means: running both cabs together from your PF500 is likely to blow up your amp
9. In Berlin last year we were expecting to be picked up for the soundcheck, nobody came so we walked to the venue to be told "The venue has been moved as the venue has been closed down because the band last night set off a flame thrower onstage - did you not get the e-mail?"
10. Spoke to Status yesterday and they had a batch of 3 jazz necks just going to polishing...so I ordered one of them for me today. I also ordered the tuners today tick tock
11. More parts are arriving.

14. Give it a few months and a lack of a replacement from fender and I suspect these will go for around the £500 mark. That is fairly cheap for what a 6 month old good 2x12 seems to fetch. i don't see why these should be any different. So they were available for a short time @ £379 so what? - if they are so desirable then why should they go for anything less than comparable products from other manufacturers?
15.
Next question back - is he coming tonight
Did he?
16. I've had the same with my Warmoth - some clever dick asked me if it was a Sadowsky......er no
17. Many years ago before an important gig the band were read a review, in the dressing room, that had just been handed to management: “To say that Sad Lovers & Giants (Ho Ho) have not got a great deal going for them would be an understatement indeed. A name of unremitting clumsiness, a press release capable of ending careers and a music steeped in a tradition of limp derivation. They've listened to the Banshees, they've listened to the Cure, sorted out the good bits and used the rest.” I'm not sure management fully understood the psychology of motivation.
18. Mine died in rehearsal last night after a total of about 10hours use over 3 sessions. Mine was in line on the input to the amp so I was playing along and suddenly nothing....most disconcerting. As the instructions state it is good for 'upto 36 hours' I was surprised as I wasn't powering much from it ( BBE OptoStomp on all the time, COG custom analog chorus used some of the time & a TU3 tuner used only at the start of sessions to tune up). Does the BBE OptoStomp draw unusually high current? I think it would be prudent, in future to ensure it is fully charged before every session.
19.
As usual I recommend Minotaur straps. Greek leather, padded, extra wide (4.3" - 11cm), long (adjustable to 59" - 150cm) and great value. I've had mine for years and it makes my P bass seem very light. http://www.minotaur....dsl04numjd9e902 Don't be put off that they're based in Greece - mine arrived in four days. Support the Greek economy!
Fantastic straps - Love mine
