4.
Fender Original/Vintage.
+1 The original P-bass sound.
5.
so a normaliser is actually just a make-louder-iser?
or it could be a make-quieter-iser It depends where you start
6. I have strung with d'Addario ENR71 half rounds recently - I came from flats (Chromes) and these seem quite sticky and quite rough (compared with the flats)...they certainly have some twang when compared with the flats - time will tell....
7. I just use Audacity to normalise (if I ever find myself needing to) and to check the mix after mixdown on some software that allows me to see the wave form. I have Audacity routed through a different soundcard (SonarX2 through the RME HDSP9632 to KRK monitors, Audacity/WMP/etc through m-audio2496 and Cambridge amp and Eltax speakers) so I can check on another system without leaving my chair.
8.
Normalising a track simply increases the amplitude/volume of the signal so that the loudest peaks are at [s]0db (i.e. the loudest possible volume on a digital signal).[/s]whatever level you tell Audacity to normalise to be it, 0dB, -3dB,-6dB, -14dB etc etc the choices are endless
Corrected for you. I suggest normalising to -12dB or so (what are K-14 peak levels?) would likely give similar result to K14 metering.
9. We should've made the list.
10. Makes Warmoth's $350 for a finished P-bass body look a tad dear..... Link is down for me - the page 404s
11. The National - Trouble will Find Me
12.
What exactly is the collective term for Precisions?
A forest?
13. Openly fencing stolen goods? That listing should not last long
14.
EDIT: Also, I'm looking at the strap and wondering why it's attached to the headstock as opposed to the other strap pin.
Every Vox I have ever played had such bad neck dive, it seemed more natural to play the thing vertically like an upside down upright....
15.
Same stuff that kills dogs left in cars on hot days.
Hot days? Can't remember them.........this is the Uk right?
16.
Why not have side A play at 45rpm and B at 33rpm just to confuzzle people?
I have a few 7" that do this......
17. What is this heat you speak of?
18. He says he's 99% sure it's a one piece body but even i can see the join on the back view....

20. The all black one is pretty cool though http://www.fenderjapan.co.jp/jb62_allblk.html
21. Make money on the overseas gigs but treat the music as a net tax loss......been filing the return for years, every year making a loss - it makes the music gear cheaper. It's not bad getting a tax rebate for doing what is effectively my hobby.
22. ...just bought some 5mm Jack nuts, some M5 allen head bolts, some 25mm rubber cabinet feet and some 32mm cabinet feet
23.
http://www.thomann.d...pedal_juice.htm No experience but appears to be the same idea as the volto with more Ma
That is too big to fit under the nano @ 43mm thick
24. I always put a tuner first so that it is receiving the unencumbered signal from the bass. I always put a compressor last so it smoothes the peaks before it hits my amp.. What happens inbetween is up to you...do you want to flange your dirt or dirty your flange?
25. my mistake I was hearing a guitar....
