1. We stop and start again - We've done it twice that I can remember. The punters loved it!
2. I have made 2 Warmoths. They are both beautiful players.
3. I have been toying with the idea of getting an all valve head. I have toyed with the idea of giving Matamp a ring and dropping £1.5k on a GT200....but it feels like a lot of moolah. Then I thought i I could make my own, <Top gear>How hard can it be?</Top Gear> So I started to trawl the interweb looking for info. There does not seem to be much out there. So....what info sources do you suggest for a DIY 150-200W all valve bass amp potential build? I'd ideally need circuit diags, parts suppliers, costings etc etc
4. I've just had a look on DV's website [ http://www.dv247.com ] and it seems that for the first time ever they do not list a single Fender bass. Does anyone know why Digital Village have stopped stocking Fender?
5. Have you tried here?: http://www.effectpowersupplies.com/pedaltrain-mini-pedalboard-with-soft-case-1802-p.asp
6. I think this might be the problem with my Warmoth P/J. I got so frustrated by it that I went out and built another Warmoth active P instead! An expensive fix for what is likely to be a simple problem. Will get the soldering iron out asap.
7.
That's nice. They seem to have included a Hartke ice cube dispenser to make up for the wait.
They did promise me a tee shirt but that never arrived
8.
I saw this - at £399 it does seem a bit expensive for a fridge... http://uk.marshallfridge.com/
i paid A LOT less than that when they were initially launched. Demand has outstripped supply and the price has rocketed as a result.
9. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/330909292355?ru=http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html%3F_from%3DR40%26_sacat%3D0%26_nkw%3D330909292355%26_rdc%3D1&clk_rvr_id=469084478433&afsrc=1
10. After waiting over 9 months for delivery since I paid for it my Marshall fridge has finally arrived. Now I do not have to walk all the way from my studio room to the utility room or the kitchen to get a drink. Real man cave furniture!!
11. If you think that bridge looks big you obviously have not seen a Babicz [attachemnt as on my Warmoth P]
12. 1 month into the wait and it's torture..... my old cab has been sold and I have been using a Peavey TNT115 in rehearsals We are due to do some recording in a couple of weeks to lay down the next 4 songs for our new album and I was hoping to mic this cab rather than DI and amp sim.... I HATE WAITING
13.
I had the most amazing bout of GAS after seeing another post about the Fender Cabronita P bass and thought, I gots to have one! There does not seem to be any in stock anywhere! I found Guitar Guitar doing them and ordered one, but the guy says now it will be first two weeks in May before they get them in. Im away back to work on the 7th! I cant wait that long for it! It will be unbearable!
Dawsons are reporting that they have stock
14. FWIW mine is in. Can i just say that this thread is my favourite source of fun on the interweb. Thank you for making this game.
15. ...sorely tempted,,,,um ah um errrrr.....let me think about it
16. Also available in black: http://www.dawsons.co.uk/fender-cabronita-precision-bass-guitar-black?utm_source=GoogleShopping&utm_medium=pricecomparison&utm_content=feed&gclid=CMSzyf2MzbYCFQjKtAodhmIAPg
17. Are you going to normalise these?? K-14 mix is very quiet!!
18. Never seen a JV with a skunk stripe before.
19. Am i right in thinking that the Voxengo SPAN only meters the peak with the lights, if so what is the horizontal red bar? Is that a measure of headroom? The RMS figure displayed to the lower left of the UI always seems lower than the metered lights so i assume the meter shows peak rather than RMS. Just trying to be sure I am not going to render to too high a level. I don't know what issues others are having with this but some of the things I am finding tricky are: The overheads are very lively, the ride and crashes are difficult to keep under control without getting them sounding too thin and indistinct or too loud and overbearing. Getting some thwack back into the over processed snare has hurt my brain. Giving the sidestick enough life without it being taken over by the bleed (which is actually louder than the stick) is tricky. The toms have a ring which I am struggling to isolate I have never mixed an upright bass before. It behaves vastly differently from electric bass, as it is far 'softer'. There are a few resonances in there which 'take over' if you are not careful. Getting it to sit solidly in the mix is challenging, Getting the interplay between AC3, the fiddle. the mandolin. the dobro and the vocals without everything sitting on top of each other has involved a few bits of trickery... I did not realise how much the banjo is a rhythm instrument rather than a melodic instrument until i tried to do this. I am at the stage now where I have a first draft and am playing it on a few other systems before I decide whether to submit it or not, After my over mid heavy entry last month i am determined not to be caught out twice.
20. This song is making me want to go out, buy a large bottle of bourbon and a gun and just go on a rampage....
21. LOVING the TWANG!!!!!! that's who i am and where I'm from........................................NOT this one really is a case of 'less is more'
22.
Voxengo SPAN can be set to K14 http://www.voxengo.com/product/span/ And is 64bit In fact its so damned good at all things metering everyone should have a copy anyway - my top tip for the day
Thanks Right - I shall get cracking on this tonight!!
23. Can anyone point me at a FREE 64bit K-meter VST please? I can't find one. i really don't like to bridge plugins to 32 bit - it can cause all sorts of problems.
