1.
Oh dear! This is why I would never buy online! You get a product that doesn't suit you because you didn't try it out first!
All 6 strings are like this!!!! (strings too close together) - it's the nature of the beast!!!!!!
2. 24.75"
3. I went and bought a 6 string!!!! I've never really played much 6 string before. I bought it because I have been writing some stuff for our next album and the guitarist is complaining that some of my guitar lines are proving difficult to play. this is probably because they've been written on a keyboard using Orange tree Samples EEG Strawberry... I thought if I started writing on a guitar shaped object then the lines might prove more playable. Thing is the strings are too close together and my fingers too fat!!!! LOL It's an Epiphone Sheraton II in ebony with inlays and binding and gold hardware......
4.
Schoolboy error. So the entire band has to transpose everything because your sax player has learn his instrument incorrectly?
Not difficult but yes you're right.
5. Recently we've had to transpose one of our catalogue so that an alto sax can be played instead of a tenor sax (as was used when we recorded it). We don't own a tenor sax between us and the sax player (who is also the vocalist) has only recently learned to play sax, only has an alto and has learned the fingering for the part as though it was for tenor. Rather than use capos or owt we've reworked all the other parts to fit...the sax line is the hook so it takes priority....in 30years we've never played this song live so the punters in Athens will be in for a treat.

7. We're getting loads of enquiries from 'promoters' in various European cities but at the moment only have one firm booking October 27th @ SIX Dogs in Athens, Greece. I wonder if we'll get paid as per the contract?

10. My drummer is the Incredible Hulk - imagine if we both.....oh never mind
11. Do I ALWAYS change with the drummer? No - we have separate dressing rooms.
12. Simon Raymonde plays bass beautifully - if there was one person who made me listen to bass differently it was him

14. the perfect album: Passover track3 - is totally worn out on my vinyl - it is perfection. and Twenty Four hours is magic
15.
Each to their own and all that but I did have the misfortune of catching them at Glastonbury a few years back....
I doubt it. Joy Division ceased to be in May 1980.
16. I love Joy Division and the first 2 New Order albums - it all got a bit pop after that. Lyrically Ian Curtis was a genius IMO - I used to joke that I listened to Joy Division when I needed reassurance that there were others having a harder time than me. Unknown Pleasures was raw but promising then came Closer, an almost perfect album, a masterpiece. When Closer came out it was different, cold, disturbing music the like of which had never really been heard - like Neil Young brought into the post punk era... Joy Division have influenced so many acts that have followed that they probably don't have the same impact on someone listening to them now for the first time. Joy Division are, to me, the most important band to come from the post punk era.
17. 1993 Madrid might have been at the soundcheck The Snake Corps - I'm playing keys (sort of) I hink it's as good as the original
18.
My son has been using this - He did have a nightmare until the "D" Patch came out. All kinds of bugs and strange things going on. But it seems to be running ok now. The Pro Channel is neat, and he loves those four extra PC modules, especially the EQ one. Good stuff. Garry
X1C wasn't bad either tbh..... The biggest good news for me though is that Celemony have fixed the memory leak in Melodyne and after some pestering the techs there I got upgraded to melodyne2 for free!!! I am back in love with my DAW!
19. Sonar X1 producer edition is what I use - used all versions from Sonar5 onwards.....it comes in a cheaper flavour (Studio) and is simple and easy to learn. It's 64bit native too (which means projects can be huge - I now see 6-7Gb of RAM dedicated to projects regularly!) and was the first DAW to go 64bit... in the X1D release I have yet to suffer a crash!
