Those chords just came from a casual pick the bass up and start playing while watching telly!

Thanks [/quote] it's lead free - it needs too much heat, the joints don't stick as well - I've had joints fail with the lead free. Try the leaded red reel 60/40 stuff and you will notice the difference

With UPS if you get the tracking number [no hassle at all] then the address actually delivered to can be proven.

It is the person who contracts with the courier who is responsible for its safe passage. That cab would take minimal preparation anyway...is the seller incapable of negotiating a packaging price with the buyer? It just seems to me the seller is trying to wriggle out of this coz he feels short changed.

Not ever had an active bass. The bass I'm building atm has a P-retro in it...or will have when I find a small enough screwdriver to connect the pup and earth......so I am yet to discover the loys of active EQ. The main reason I am doing it is so I can change tone drastically from song to song without having to tweek the amp. which is often at the back of the stage and relatively inaccessible

[/quote] Both my Warmoth necks are slim taper jazz. They feel slim and narrow to me - they suit my average sized hands. I haven't tried their standard neck profile. All I'd played before Warmoth for any length of time was my JV P which has a much wider fretboard but about the same thickness of neck.
