I'm referring to this track for those who don't it.
Yes, it's one of those typical cheesy 80's tunes, but having listened to it again since starting to learn the bass, it actually has an amazing simple, yet effective bass line. I find it very interesting these days listening to all my music and actually listening out for the bass line.
Hi all
On my amp I have 5 controls, namely: Volume, Treble, Mid, Bass, and Presence.
What does presence mean, and what is its purpose?
Forgive my ignorance on the subject, but I can't find anything online that explains this adequately.
Thanks
Kevin
Hi there!
After lurking around for a few days, I thought it was time to introduce myself.
My name is Kevin, and I live in London.
I'm a complete newb, having no musical experience whatsoever, woke up one morning and decided I wanted to learn to play the bass.
My gear is a Dean Playmate Edge 09 4 string, and an Axl Standard 30B amp. I can pluck out a fairly mean "Twinkle twinkle little star" and thanks to Dave Marks site, I've almost got the hang of "Stir it up".
