I was gifted these copper nylon strings from a good friend @HowieD72. I’m really surprised by the tone. I put them on my 78 mij Yamaha pulser p bass. Maple fretboard and Asian ash body. When you dig in it’s feels like it has a compression effect of the highs. Tames it in a good way. When playing chords they have great sustain and tone, very sweet sounding. They are on loose side (a tad tighter than it flats). This put me off at first. I contacted La Bella and they suggested you should always start off with the regular tensions. Another thing I noticed is the output is lower than my nickels or flats. No problem though I just increase the volume on amp. I am so impressed with its feel under my fingers, so smooth and tone that I’m going to purchase the regular tension. sound so articulate and percussive playing fingerstyle.

Hey peeps, looking to buy a pedalboard and power supply but as it’s new to me the would like some advise. My pedal will be a tuner, empress compressor, zoom ms-60b+ or ms-70cdr+, genzler 4 on the floor and ditto x2(may change to ditto+ as smaller). Not looking for a silly expensive pair. I have read about noise. How do you guarantee you get no noise? I’ve seen some cheap ones like lekato https://amzn.eu/d/5zJ1Moz what the best approach to this. I get overwhelmed by loads of options easily. oh and cables what to use? I have seen some come with cables. cheers

Congrats on the new bass. You have my lusted 78 fender. Ash body maple fretboard. Man that must have some attitude . It’s going to be hard to compete with that as it’s sonically unique (Bart pickups 😍) with the added nut width and profile.

I’ve a set of chromes 50-105. They aren’t sticky at all. Very smooth to play. I’ve had them for a while and the brightness has tamed tbh.

Interesting original question. I feel if the political view gets in the way of creation and causes a funky energy and vibe yes I wouldn’t join the band. I feel we all have different views on things in life but I hope we are mature enough to be able to agree to disagree and focus on the task at hand when it’s clear tension is building. If that’s not possible 👋🏾.

I think I’m going to get a tc spark and a compressor suggested. If the spark doesn’t tickle my fancy I’ll look into others like the beta and genzler.

I didn’t even realise you sent this. My apologies. I don’t know what a COT-50 is. I’ll look into it and the earthquake devices blames. Man trying to find a genzler 4 on the floor used is near impossible lol.

Hey bud. Yes I’ve played a good amount. I roll off the highs to 10 o’clock, mids set at either round 800hz or 250-400hz at 1 o’clock, bass boosted a tad if room doesn’t get boomy. Amber contour which boosts the mids between 150-200 and cuts highs from 800hz set to 9-12. you are definitely right about playing with what you have.
