  1. @cgull I have to say I'm really not a fan of your money making techniques... Asking random strangers to donate to you so you can buy a new bass seems like poor form to me. Particularly when your funding page says 'He (meaning you) would be happy to donate £2 to your cause' which clearly isn't the case as if you dontated £2 for every £2 donated to you, you'd be permanently at square one. Not to be ferociously blunt, but do what we all do and either sell something or work hard, earn money and buy your bass, don't ask others to fund it for you.
  2. Hi, So I've just picked up a bunch of various geeeetars and basses etc. in a strange trade/purchase and want them gone! They are as follows, and are all going pretty cheap as I want the space back! None are hidden treasures, but they all do the job. I've not bothered setting any of them up, but I have tested them and they all work! A few could obviously do with a dust off and set up. From left to right they are: 1 - Stagg C542 Classical Acoustic £15 2 - **SOLD** Wesley 5 String Purple Acrylic Bass 3 - Keiper 'Super Strat' with Floyd Rose type bridge £40 4 - Keiper 'Ovation Style' Electro-Acoustic £35 5 - Keiper Jazz Bass (good solid wood body) £50 6 - **SOLD** Wesley Purple Acrylic 'Les Paul' Type 7 - Harrier P-Bass (feels like solid Ash or Basswood) £40 8 - Unbranded Jaguar Type Electric £30 I have 4 gig bags, happy to chuck either of the two unpadded ones in with the sale of a guitar for £2, or the padded ones for £5. The little amp can go with any guitar for £8. Happy to do a bulk deal on multiple purchases! Based in Essex, any questions, let me know! Russ.
  3. All depends on how quickly a seller wants to sell! I myself have sold a few basses for quite a bit under 'market value' because I wanted them gone ASAP to facilitate another purchase. If you're happy to wait a while, then someone will eventually come along and pay the asking price!
  4. That being said the last TRBJP2 that sold on here went for £1400 so price can be very subjective as to how quickly a seller wants to sell and how soft the market is.
  5. Thanks @HumblePie I did find that website, but it seems to be under maintenance and has no price guide etc.
  6. Is there a website for this luthier? I'm curious to know more about the bass. Also, what do you think the 'new' price on this bass is?
  7. @Hamilton Mackenzie I'm a big fan of the Ashdown B-Social for a number of reasons. A. Looks good in the house. B. Sound is crisp and articulate and very much loud enough. C. Comes with a rechargable wireless dongle so you can play wirelessly. D. Has Bluetooth so you can play songs from your phone while playing bass at the same time. E. Has separate bass and guitar inputs so you can (if you needed to!) Play 3 instruments through it at the same time while streaming songs via bluetooth. For me it's the perfect all-rounder for the home.
  8. @Soledad Problem solved.
  9. @Pseudonym1 @Thunderpants You/the seller know now with absolute certainty that it is not a Classic IV, if you don't believe the multitude of people that have told you, you can google it. Yet you absolutely refuse to change the listing to correct the mistake. No one placed a sky high bid on this bass until it was absolutely obvious you knew (if you didnt already before) that what you were selling was not a Classic IV. So why not change the listing? The time you have put into 'teaching lessons' has FAR exceeded the time it would have taken to change the listing to the correct thing. Can you adequately explain that? Yes, you initially were not aware the listing was incorrect, MANY people politely told you, you then flat out refused to amend it, now your super angry and have gone all stalkerish because some decent people won't allow you to knowingly defraud a potential buyer. Stupid is as stupid does indeed Mr Gump.
  10. Good samaritans sir. Saving people from buying fraudulent items! I'd say we're more superheroes actually... maybe even gods?? What higher than a god? We're that. 😁
  11. Clearly you're the seller. But for fun let's play along!!! The 'seller' was told politely by 3 people that it isn't a Classic IV and still ignored all advice and flat out refused to amend the listing. Now you (I mean the 'seller') are upset that they've been called out. If the seller simple said 'oh, yeah that's right' and amended the listing to be accurate everyone would be happy and he'd have the bass sold honestly in no time! Oh, and I'm not certain 8 hours counts as long term...
  12. That's enough for YOU to buy a real one you mean? Either way, it wouldn't be what was in the picture so it'd still get returned! Just advertise the bass for what it is mate and don't be getting all angry you got called out on your incorrect description.
  13. Go on then @Dan Dare, take a £100,000 punt! See if that's enough to take the prize! Gasping to get it to over a million! 😂
  14. I'm feeling like being a nuisance so I've put a £1000 bid on it.
  15. A Bongo and its overall style is 100% different, and yes totally Marmite. But a 'Fender Copy' with a different headstock pretty much alienates 90% of the market. Sure 10% will dig it, but as a business do you want the 90% or the 10%?
  16. Gotsta target your target audience! Even if people are conditioned to like something, (which on one hand I see your point, but on the other I don't 100% agree with as I don't own any Fender basses and I really love the look of all the non-fender headstock I do own (ACG, De Gier, Bee Bass, Conklin, Overwater, Aries, Yamaha, Warwick etc.)) you need to target what they like, be it due to conditioning or not. We're all conditioned in varying degrees, essentially 'conditioning' is what turns the blank slate you are born with into an individual personality. That being said, I still really do not like (personal opinion) the headstock Bite offer at all. It is (to me) clunky awkward, a bit ugly and really spoils the basses aesthetics and I wouldn't buy from them because of this and this alone. In my humble opinion of course.
  17. I believe you have stolen Johnny 5's face...
  18. No sir. Mesa Strategy Eight:88 with two Mesa Vintage 4x10 cabs. The full whammy!
