  1. @jazzmanb @BITE Guitars I don't see it as being grilled, and I don't thing Bite have taken it that way. This forum is a unique and fantastic way to get genuine feedback for bass start ups, in this instance 9 out of 10 people have said they would likely not buy one of these due to the headstock. As we represent a fair cross-section of the bass playing community it would seem fairly unanimous that the headstock is a massive hang up for many potential customers that like the concept but are wholly put off by the headstock. If Bite are savvy, and wish to have a successful business, I would expect them to have open ears on this and to (at the very least) offer a traditional headstock as an alternative to their signature headstock. From their comments, it seems like this is now a serious consideration, which if they implement I would applaud as it shows they have listened to their potential customers. This is a great idea for a business, to be able to order a unique bass in your own style for a good price and with an attractive lead time. I am certain Bite will do well if they can offer a traditional headstock along side their more unique one. After all, business is business!
  2. I loved them, fantastic cabs! However, as of yesterday they are on their way to Ireland as I've managed to snag a full Mesa Boogie rig.
  3. Another 'seller'... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/184196478517
  4. I reported them all! 😂 Actually glad to see eBay cleaning up the trash.
  5. Each of those items is from a 'different' seller, and each item each 'seller' is selling has a different email address listed in the second picture. They all have a lot of positive feedback as a buyer, not a seller, and a lot of the feedback looks to be for small cheap purchases judging buy what the sellers who left him feedback are selling. Maybe they've generated high feedback accounts from cheap purchases to then go on the con with all the expenses items they're now selling. Something super fishy here...
  6. Luckily squier, the kind moderators have already moved it! PJB gear is top notch, who ever buys this will definitely enjoy it!
  7. Wrong section sir. Needs to go in the Amps and Cabs section!
  8. Where's the mock up @Teebs?? WHERE'S THE MOCK UP!!!!!
  9. You sir simply have a cat taped to your upper lip...
  10. @Teebs that sir, is interesting. Very interesting indeed... and exactly the kind of solution I was hoping this thread would generate! If the silicone castor cups don't work then I shall make myself one of these and claim it was my idea all along and if someone says "hey, isn't that Teebs idea?" then I shall quickly silence them with a home brew of a cyricin based poison I always keep handy for such 'silencings'... followed by running away into the night while violently twiddling my moustache.
  11. The Mesa cabs don't have interlocking corner protectors, they have Track-Loc castors that remove by sliding them out which then leave the rubber feet to take the load, they're 100% safe to stack if you slide out the track-loc castors of the top cab thus utilising the rubber feet. Floor cab with castors attached and rubber feet not making contact: Top cab on top of floor cab with castors removed and rubber feet making contact:
  12. Well, my initial order was for 2 silver grilled Traditional cabs, GG then called me to say one had a black grill, they gave me a little incentive to take it so I did... when it arrived it had slightly different corner protectors as well as the different grill, after a bit of tooing and froing GG took back the silver one and sent me another black one, which has again different corner protectors that either the silver or the black one and has a different back panel... so it seems to me that Mesa built iut the last remaining Traditional series cabs with whatever they had left (which doesn't impede the quality at all) and then Westside Distribution (UK Mesa distributors) sold them to GG at a discount price as they were end of line. That's my theory anyway! Still, my new full rig has an RRP of £6200, I paid £2600 in total and it's all new (well, new old stock I suppose!) so I'm not complaining!!
  13. The Mesa specs on the GuitarGuitar website have a good few errors in them. The 1x15 I'm sure is 300w but can't comment on the ohmage. Technically one of my cabs in a Traditional with a black grill, even though they never made black grill Traditionals, so I assume it was the last one out of the factory and they only had a black grill left! The other is a 'Vintage' which has slightly different cones and has a built in crossover in the rear, again this seems to be somewhat of an oddity as this spec cab doesn't exist in any Mesa catalogue. The cabs I have, and the remaining Traditional/Vintage ones on GuitarGuitar seem to be built out of whatever Mesa had left from that series so they're all a little different! (From my experience and looking at the 2 cabs I have vs the spec available on Mesa's website).
  14. Hi @tvickey, The cabs are 600w each and run at 8 ohms, they have 2 speakon inputs on the rear and an adjustable tweeter. They don't have interlocking corners but do have track-loc castors that remove easily allowing the sturdy rubber feet to then take over. Hope that helps!
  15. @Hellzero I will have your cats ground down into a fine paste and fed to the closest dog!
  16. Well that's the dream! The point of my request for suggestions was to find a solution that avoids A. removing the castors. B. not to have the cabs on the side, and C. not making any 'destructive' adjustments. I want to simply be able to plonk one cab on top of the other as quickly as possible. Thems the rules! Hopefully the silicone castor cups will do the job.
  17. Not an option sir for the two reasons mentioned above. Non negotiable for me!
  18. Nah, the Mesa Track-Loc castors simply slide out of the metal plate bolted onto the bottom of the cab, the cab also has rubber feet which then become the contact point when the castors have been removed. They do remove easily, but I'm lazy and can't be bothered to do it so wanted a lazy mans resolution!
  19. I know! I thought the same! Though the Track-Loc name refers to the castors sliding into metal plates screwed to the bass of the cab and 'locking' into place.
  20. These castors are Mesa's own Track-Loc castors, to my knowledge they don't do a locking variant, which to me has always seemed odd. Realistically it would cost them pennies to add a lock to the two front castors, but hey, they don't even include the relevant footswitch on a £3600 amp! I'll try these silicone bottomed cups, if it's stable enough then problem solved! If not, then I shall report back here for more ideas!
  21. I shan't be tipping them! A: Visually I don't want them on their side! Can't be having a 90° logo! B: The sides have no 'feet' on them so they'd get scuffed instantly. I think I've actually found a possible solution! Black silicone bottomed castor cups! Might work...
  22. Any bright ideas? I have two cabs, both with excellent castors that make moving them much less horrendous however it makes stacking them with the castors on exceptionally dangerous! They're matching Mesa Boogie Vintage Powerhouse 4x10 cabs and both have flat tops (no divets like some Marshall cabs have) and the castors are not locking. I want to be able to stack them without constantly having to remove the castors from the top cab. Wondering if anyone has any good ideas on how to stack these safely without me removing the castors, without permanently altering either cab and in the knowledge the castors do not lock. Ta! Russ.
  23. @yorks5stringer Not so funny now are you!!!! 6 hours in the cave of shame for you sir...
