My PM to you was polite, completely inoffensive and was an offer that you could have just said no to. You didn't need to go down the silly route of asking for £200 postage. All you needed to say was 'No thanks'. Until you edited your thread, your post contained in capital letters a good number of lines saying 'PLEASE BUY ME, MAKE AN OFFER' or words to that effect. My offer wasn't rude or insulting, if you feel like me mentioning your response in this thread is out of line, then that tells me you know your response was uncalled for. You wanted £70 (as per your pre-edited thread), I offered £60 with postage costing £10 netting you £50, I quite understand if it's not enough, that's absolutely fine. Just less of the needless passive aggressiveness next time please. For clarity: Stay classy Frank.

The Markbass SD1200 is a fantastic amp, and at £425 it's a great deal! The headroom on this amp is massive!

Sending a bass uninsured via ParcelForce UK/UK through ParcelMonkey is about £10. I did mention this. But still, the price for postage was £200. If the offer I made was not acceptable, the best option is to say so, and not take the time wasting passive aggressive approach!

So @soldersqueeze is asking £200 for postage. I did ask if that was a typo, but it's not. £200 for postage just in case anyone was thinking of having it posted! I did make an offer, but it wasn't a ridiculous one, so be prepared to pay £200 if you want it posted.

Just to play devils advocate, this bass was made probably 3 years or so before Bass Direct sold Grossman basses, and from what I can see they are selling one Grossman basss commissioned by themselves so I'm not sure where the link is between the defect on this bass and Bass Direct unless it's just to try and get in contact with Christian through Bass Direct. I would also be surprised if after speaking to Grossman that they had anything to say about this as A: it may have been a customer request or B: it might have been sold with the defect mentioned. I would think your best bet is to speak to the seller and understand why the 'defect' wasn't mentioned or shown in the advert. Realistically, IF the bass is a quality bass in all other areas, IF it sounds and plays well and has been built well (bar this issue) then there are a number of cheap ways you can mod the bass to be 'correct' from using a dot of black nail varnish (assuming the dots are black) to make the 12th more noticeable (maybe 3 dots?) or speaking to a luthier about professionally dealing with this, perhaps the seller would refund a small amount to allow this to happen. Just a few thoughts!

Back in the 80's you could have probably bought an old Soviet era surplus M47 tank for about £2000. Dems were the days!
