Hi all, I've recently taken on this rather tasty Crafter acoustic bass, the back wood on this particular bass is stunning, a really beautifully figured piece of mahogany (I believe!) The bass is overall in very good condition, a few minor marks here and there but truly nothing to write home about. The neck is nice and straight, the action is good for an acoustic bass but could come down if you wanted to, plays great as it sits though! Solid top and sides, simple volume/tone EQ, has a good battery in it too so it's ready to rock. Frets have years of life in them too, all round it's a superb acoustic bass, just currently need money for other things! Collection is preferred (Basildon, Essex). I can ship it (£15 extra) but I don't have a case for it, I do however have plenty of bubble wrap and lots of boxes so I can cobble something together. I would ask that joint responsibility it taken should anything happen in transit. This will be a condtion of me sending it! Any questions, please ask!

Saw Keir had an AX20 for sale, my guitarist was after one! Put them in touch and a faultless deal was done! Everyone happy.

Surely fill the cavities with cheese?
-
A new word needs inventing to describe this disasterpiece, and that word shall be 'Horracious'.
-
Not a bad shout, but... this body has a rear cavity cover so that would spoil the look. Plus I have too many tables lurking around as it is!
-
No! That would be a form of heresy to deficate through the body of a bass on a daily basis!

Afternoon all ye kind basschat folk, So I've just bought a cheap but very solid body from our @Paul S, I'm not too interested in turning it back into a bass, I'd rather turn it into something else... The pickups I've just put in do work and the bass has a function loom so with a bridge and neck it could be a bass again very easily, but that's boring and I have all the basses I need for now! With that being said, I'm after suggestions on what I can do with this thing. My first thought was a clock... I can quite easily buy a cheap analogue or digital clock mechanism and mount it in the bridge position, and hey! A clock! But before I do that, I'm interested to know what other options are out there, so, what do YOU think I should do with this? If there are a few good suggestions then I'll put those to a vote and act accordingly!

Bought an old Hondo body from Mr Paul S, nice and easy! Not sure what I'm going to do with it yet! Got a few ideas... Cheers sir!

Hi, (Putting this back up for sale at a reduced price of £999 to fund a home studio set up). This is very much a feeler at the moment as I don't really want to get rid of it! But... I could do with paying off holiday costs, so I'm putting this up for now, but may withdraw it shortly! To get the bad out the way first, there is a thin crack, a few inches long that runs between the pots, it's been there for 15+ years and is 100% stable. Needed to be said though. Overall the bass is in excellent condition, everything works 100% with no crackles or anything! The action is low and the truss rod works smoothly. These really are superb 6 string basses, one of the very best stock 6ers available. The bass currently has solid metal gold knobs which are not stock, I do however have the original knobs so will include these. Any questions, please ask. I'm sure someone will be along to quickly request weight, scale, string spacing etc. etc. I will post this tomorrow when I get the chance to double check everything. Someone maybe already know all of this and post the details before I do! Russ.

I actually recently sold an Overwater 7 string to GuitarGuitar, they offered me a decent price, in fact what they offered would have been the price I intended to list it for on BC, and it was more than I initially paid for it. It was instant cash and saved me any faffery with postage or waiting 12 years for it to actually sell! The price was agreed via an email consultation, funnily when I took the bass to the store to do the deal the chap behind the counter was clearly very surprised about how much he had to pay for it! Honestly, I think they're going to struggle to sell it! They have my Overwater 7 (one of them, the lesser one at that!) and I have their Mesa Boogie Strategy 8:88, which was already reduced from £3,600 to £1,499. Win for me.

Played a gig in Saaaaaaafend a few years back and the venue had a drum riser that wasn't quite big enough for our drummers kit, during the first song one of his cymbal stands fell and the cymbal edge guillotined straight through the master stage power cable and shorted out the entire venue! The power running through said cable must have been pretty immense as the edge of his cymbal (A fairly thick Sabian AAX I seem to remember) looked like someone had taken an arc-welder to it. Proper smelted!

G4M have upped their prices on their Damaged stock. Used to be much better discounts! Their descriptions of the damages are pretty vague and terrible, usually to lull you into buying it. It's a hard pass on this for me! Also, the 'RRP' price they use is the manufacturers RRP which hardly any shops use, most sell for circa 10% below RRP to be competitive, if not more. So make sure to check the true 'new' price. Don't be fooled!
