  1. How much did @Moos3h pay your for that? Almost bromantic. 😂
  2. I owed one of these in that colour some years back. If this was the one I owed the battery clip was replaced with one from Maplin! Would be interesting to know if it's the same one...
  3. I don't actually think this is that far away from being a great instrument once again... a very interesting project for someone!
  4. Morning/Afternoon/Evening, I've just picked up another practice amp for home use so my trusty little Ashdown After Eight is now no longer required! Cheap, light, decent, 15w. That's about it! £35 collected from me in Basildon. I don't mind posting so long as the cost is covered. Russ.
  5. Used to be mine this one. A great bass, plays very well. Great price for a USA Precision too!
  6. Quite surprised this is still here... sub £1200 for a 1984 Streamer is a great price!
  7. Played this bass a few years back, it's a great player, balanced well and sounds awesome. A real good example of Martin's work!
  8. If you love it, keep it, enjoy it, play it. It doesn't need a bass wizard as an owner, so long as it sees a bit of play time it'll be a happy bass!
  9. My ability is certainly not worthy of my collection, but I'll be long dead before I sell a good few of mine! Just because you can't paint doesn't mean you shouldn't own art! 😁
  10. Looks nice. Is it just me or do the pick ups and the bridge look a little mis-alligned?
  11. Looks all legit to me to be honest. Clearly being sold by someone who has some half decent gear what with all the pedals and flight cases etc. in the background, adds a bit to the legitimacy of the sale I think.
  12. If the seller has gone to the trouble of posting the eBay listing, and they have decent feedback, and the photos and description looks reasonable, then I'd give the benefit of the doubt regarding communication, there's many a reason they might not be in a position to respond at the moment. You could always buy it, and then not pay until they respond to your questions. As you're pretty well protected via eBay if you buy and pay via PayPal, if it's a bass you REALLY want, then buy it. Worst case scenario you don't pay until he responds or you get your money back. Best case scenario, you get your bass! Just my two cents...
  13. This is a curious for sale ad... Someone who wants the Ritter will very likely not want the Schecter and Visa versa. Either way, it's quite a good price for the pair! Good luck sir.
  14. The good thing is the seller doesn't need to respond if there are issues, eBay will simply forcibly remove the funds from the sellers PayPal and return it to you. (After the seller has not responded to an open dispute for 7 days that is). After that, eBay will request you send the item back via their pre-paid tracked postage, once the item has either been delivered/delivery refused by the seller/or delivery returned in the event of failed delivery, your money will be credited back to you. If you want the bass, and it's a good price, buy it. So long as you pay via PayPal your quite safe.
  15. Also, if their feedback is decent then there's no reason they'll act in a negative way.
  16. eBay will cover you against returns if there are issues, if you hit BIN you should be pretty safe.
  17. These are the exceptionally rare visible invisible frets! (The 'invisible' part refers to the side of the fretboard, the grooves are cut so that when the frets are laid, you cannot see them coming through the side of the fretboard. Makes for some super smooth playability! )
  18. Finally it's back! I traded this beast away several years ago and always considered it to be 'one of those that got away'... I think we've all been there, trading a bass and then suffering instant regret! However... finally after 3 years of failed attempts to get this bass back, the right sequence of trades has now landed this monster back in my hands. It's a Warwick Thumb Single Cut 6, a horrendously expensive thing if you wanted to buy it new (price tag is a shade under €8000). Warwick only made 120 of these and now only make them to order. These are heavy, but they are exceptionally good basses. The tone is outstanding and slices through any mix, the construction is immaculate. Pommele Bubinga top with USA ash body, flame maple neck and thick ebony board. Solid brass 'invisible' frets, MEC active/passive pickups and preamp. This one is near mint, with the flight case and Warwick folder. Very glad to have it back!
  19. It has reached as far as Croatia and San Francisco before... count yourself lucky your Fodera only had 5 strings! 😁
