1. Very curious thread... Who was the luither, and would a buyer be given receipts of work done to show who did it and when? and who did the 'airbrushing' because it looks as if the outer lines of the art work don't blend in with the base colour... hence the thought of it being a transfer. This is now one of the most expensive basses on BassChat, out pricing Foderas, Fbasses and my own Conklin 9 string, curious indeed...
 2.
What on earth are you doing? This is one of the coolest things EVER!!!!
It's the second coolest thing ever! The coolest thing ever is my Binky Bass... I have an ACG 9 string, and my 10 string BeeBass, I need a 6 or 7 string worker bass, that'll become Mr everyday.
Holy carp, this was one of the first EUB's I ever saw, and Jean was a HUGE influence on me from hearing his first solo record. And Nuclear Rabbit for that fact. How did this come into your possession?
I flew to San Francisco on Friday evening, picked it up, got shown around San Fran by Jean, then flew back on Monday. 24 hours in a plane for 24 hours in San Fran, commitment! That week I averaged a speed of 108mph even while sleeping...
 3. Right, here we go... I swore to myself I would never sell/trade or part with in anyway this bass for multiple reasons, and even though I'm listing it as for trade, I have to be honest and say there's no guarantee at all that it will leave my possession. This bass was built in the latest part of 2000 by Conklin in America for Jean Baudin. It has two Bartolini soapbar pickups which are set up via a duel output so you can split the pickups and send the lowest 4 strings to one output/amp and the highest 5 strings to the other output/different amp, this way you can run different effects or whatever you want through either output, you can also just run them together as standard. Its multiscaled (fanned frets) with a reasonably new set of strings on it, the onboard EQ isn't really to my taste, not enough HIFI high end for me! But i tell you, this bass thumps like a thunder storm!. The neck is 7 ply maple/purpleheart and the top wood is Ziricote, the body of the bass has a slightly cloudy coating to it, which might hide the grain of the wood slightly, but really stands up to weathering, the bass was played relentlessly by Jean for the first 5 years of its life, and its come out the other side with little to no battle scars. The bass has a PacMan inlay using yellowheart for PacMan, and purpleheart for the baddie (the baddie is right up the top of the neck, the purpleheart has faded with age, but a neck refinish would bring him back to life) with dot inlays in between. The tuners are baddies chasing PacMan one way, and PacMan chasing the baddies the other way, these where made by Roger at THG knobs, as where the control knobs, again in the PacMan theme! the current price on a build with this spec from Conklin is just over $11,000 and that's without the pickup system and without the tuners and knobs, so all in, to have this built today would cost in excess of $12,000, that's £7,400. Really, this is only for trade, but I would consider a cash offer depending on the seriousness of it... Trade wise, I put the value of this at £3,500 and I'd be after ONLY 6 string basses or above, the likes of Fodera and Fbass are my primary wants, though a really top end Drozd would be tempting, or anything else that's along those lines, offers welcome etc. I'm based in Essex and I'm on 07912222127 if you want to chat, again, this is only a feeler... but still, let me know what you got! 5. A few more pics of the binding, body and stock!
 6. Well this 7 string bass will be the baby of the bunch... the daddy being the 10 string bee. And as for the reverb... its something I use a lot of and it made sense to have it done to save carting pedals etc around! Can't wait to get my hands on this thing!

 8. Don't get me wrong, these basses sound the nuts, Conklin-esque to my ears, but I've always found warriors body shapes to be a little 'off' I think that's why they have difficulty selling. Though I must stress, their sound is worth their money, and the woods and built quality is 100%. Russ.
 9. Sorry mate, its sold. the power supply is still around somewhere though....
 10. Ryan bought an Orangle Pre valve off me, quick and easy to deal with! Slight postage delay on my part as my royal mail service is terrible round here. Russ.
 11. I literally hate you... Though I'm happy I'm having a custom Letts 7 made, I'd of had this off you in a shot a week and a half ago...
 12. Hey Guys! Right, so I sold my Spector Euro LX6 on the basis that Mr Jon Letts said he'd build me a killer 7 string. So, the diary begins here! So far, we havent fully decided on the spec... apart from the fact it'll have a real specail top wood, a matching headstock cap and a 5 laminate neck. Heres what we've decided on so far...

Individual bridge saddles
Hipshot tuners
Aguilar OBP3
Built in reverb
5 laminate neck
Matching top and cap
Block inlays to match the top
Neck bindings
Birdseye or flamed/quilted maple board
18mm string spacing
Thats about it for now, pickups are yet to be decided, but it'll probably be Jons in-house pups in the SSS layout. Here's a few pics to get this diary started! Russ. BODY! HEADSTOCK! NECK BLANK!
 13. I don't know why, but I love this! Though I can only offer trades as I've just put a deposit down on a custom 7 string bass.
 14. Why does no one want these ATK's? They're awesome basses, and for £200 someone's getting a pretty high end Ibanez bass... Tempted to buy it back myself.
 15. Justify it man! It's an awesome slice of wood! My hands used to caress this very beast, tis worth justifying!
 16. This little beast used to be mine! Tis a real beaut of a bass and Ville is a man to be trusted. There's one of these second hand at bass direct for £1200, so this is a deal! Lovely bass...
 17. For £899 someone missed out in a damn good deal there...
 18. Goddam... That's a STEAL. I'm in Essex too... Though my house mates would take an axe to my face if I brought this home.
 19. I can vouche for nobel pedals, my guitarist uses them and they are killer! As for its value, I'd say you'd be looking at the £60 mark give or take. If that's of any help. Good luck with the sales dude!
