Big price drop! 1700 pounds! Rob Allen Mouse 30 Koa FOR SALE!!!
binky_bass replied to Alberto-72's topic in Basses For Sale
Pictures increase the likelihood of a sale by at least 50%. We are a fickle bunch here and we like to muse over pictures before considering a purchase, there are so many great basses for sale here that those without pictures get passed over very quickly! Also, it's only common decency to show us all a little bass porn! -

I managed to snag that prototype bass, will be collecting itin a few weeks once my 13 string is done. I've had my ups and downs with Jon, but everything is on track now and after having received a 5 string passive bass with the perspex pickup I can say that quality is not an issue, the bass is excellent. Now that communication is regular between us, I have no further issues with Jon. He does build some cracking basses...

Hi, There's some used strings, some jack cables that need ends, a mic clip, some multi 9v plug ends, a strap thing (i think) a bridge, a plug thing and what ever else is in the picutre. All yours for FREE!! But you ust take all of it! Postage on this lot will be about £7, so if you're cool paypal-ing over £7 for postage, all this can be yours! I won't split it, it's an all or nothing deal. Lemm know! Russ. 07912222127. [attachment=169404:20140817_173255.jpg]

I did not ask for favourable treatment, I did not know he had any affiliation to basschat until he mentioned it in those texts. And as far as I can tell eBay do not stipulated that the use of the cancellation tool is exclusively for lost or broken items. I believe my stated reason from their drop down list was 'item is no longer available for sale'. The buyer could of not accept the request, but he did, so why is that not the end of this? If he had issues then they should have been discussed with me and/or ebay. Which they were, and I have shown on here. I did not pressure him to accept the cancellation. If he fought the case and I still refused I would accept this level of negativity towards me, but as it was amicably resolved and he was happy to end it I just don't see the huge issue.

Ambient you are massively right. and warwickhunt, I get the impression you want to just wind me up. Saying 'wow, you actually believe that...' it is fact my friend, absolutely provable fact. If you chose no matter what to think otheriwse I can't change your mind, but your obsession on proving me to be the devil is a little odd. Everything in my above message is provable, so yes, wow... I obviously believe it. I trust your enjoying this crusade of yours? Maybe you should tell us what terrible things you have done in your life and we'll all pass judgement on that. Bet you've done something at some pont that trumps sending an auction cancellation request to someone, and them accepting it.

There is no moral obligation and I haven't broken any ebay rules, I sent a 'cancel sale' request via ebay (why would they give you this option if it was against their rules??) And it was accepted, I spoke to fiatcoupe (as per texts shown on my previous post) and he was fine with it. So I repeat, what is the problem??? I acted in line with ebay rules, I have been totally honest, the buyer accepted, we talked and were friendly, so please tell me what the deal is here?? Honestly, how have I broken rules? Everything has been done in line with rules and regulations. And more to the point the conversations I have shown on here between me and fiat have been friendly and amicable. So once more, what have I done wrong? The only person here who seems to actually understand these points is Ambient, and he left his posts before I even knew this thread existed!!! So please, tell me how I have broken rules or acted morally wrong when I have actes by the book written by ebay. If the seller agrees to a cancellation then that's the end of that surely? No broke rules or morality.

Anything else you want amended?

It really seems you dont understand the concept of someone being OK and happy to cancel the deal... you are determine to demonise my actions, whatever man, I am very bored of this. I have done everything I can to explain and set this right. I'll keep an eye on this thread and answer any questions that pop up but if you are hell bent on making me the enemy the knock yourself out man.
-
I hope so too... though my text transcripts surely prove a point? Either way, hopefully fiatcoupe will return to confirm...
-
Also can we refrain from using derogatory terms... it seems that you're insistent on not listening to the fact I asked the seller to cancel and he said yes... not sure that's 'welching' when you get a request granted. Again this does need fiatcoupe to weigh in here to set things straight.
-
As the person being debated here I am happy for this discussion to remain open. However the input of fiatcoupe would be very welcome right now to confirm what I have said.
-
There are no differing standards, however given the fact the buyer was happy to cancel the sale, that fact changes this. You act as if I have committed a crime... I asked to cancel the sale, he said yes. Why is this anything more than that?
-
Seems amicible and friendly to me... no bad words, no negitivity at all, so the cancellation went through with no issues. If it was not amicible, things would be different. I've said my piece, sorry for any issues this has caused, but I've said everything I can say, and been as open and honest as humanly possible. Hopefully this wont be the demise of me on Basschat...
