  1. I was on the hunt for one of these a few months back (no longer needed). After a lot of research into what would be the best Delay/Reverb combo pedal, this was the one that came out on top by a country mile. If I was in the market, this would be the one I'd buy.
  2. Yup. It's an absolute bastard. In September (when our mortgage and energy tariffs renew and childcare costs kick in) we'll be £1400 a month worse off. Look out for my fire sale if a few months. Savage times. 😬
  3. Likewise... didn't even know the infamous Shuker 7 was for sale!
  4. It basically is. They both run on 8 KT88 power valves.
  5. I've had numerous terrible experiences with DHL, probably 50% of the time they just drive up to the house, wait a minute, then leave so their tracker shows 'they tried to deliver'. Its ridiculous. To balance the equation, I bought a Warwick Alien 6 string acoustic bass from Richtone a week ago and from the point I paid to the point I was playing it was exactly 19 hours. Delivered by DHL, so that particular delivery driver was spot on! If only they were all like that.
  6. £34 is a bit of a steal, these are really quite useable instruments. Someone take it before I do!
  7. Looks great! Very wise choice on ordering an ACG! I'm another massive advocate for Alan's basses... I currently have 5, but have owed another 5 that got moved on purely because they had less than 6 strings! Absolutely top end build quality - some basses may equal an ACG, but none are better IMHO.
  8. Both I'd say. Probably the best of both. I've had the pleasure of meeting maybe 100 or so BassChatians over the years from deals done, never had a bad experience yet! (Well, one buyer YEARS ago, but we'll forget about that...) There's a few 'controversial' posters out there, but that just adds to the diversity and discussion! I think I've been a member of Basschat in its various iterations for 18 years or so, and I shall continue to be a member until it, or I, kick the bucket! Here's to meeting another 100 of you fine and terrible folk! 😄
  9. That'll be the one with the black painted back and sides and without the abalone rosette. My one is the 'Deluxe' version... but still, a rare thing. Hans P Wilfer mentioned in an email exchange we had a couple of years ago that they'd made circa 200 RB Alien 6 basses, with around a third being the Deluxe ones.
  10. It did indeed arrive! Fairly amazed considering I paid the last but off less than 24 hours ago. Credit to Richtone Music and DPD! Looks to be in excellent condition and actually set up very well for once! A tiny bit of fret buzz on the D string at the 10th fret but I'm fairly confident I can get rid of that in short order. All in, happy bunny!
  11. Due for delivery in 15 minutes according to DPD... 😬
  12. It is indeed the Rockbass version. However, the RB Alien 6 is in a bit of a different category to the 4 and 5 string versions as the preamp and pickup combination in the RB 6 is exactly the same as the non-RB version, which is why the price point between the 4 and 5 vs the 6 is such a leap. The non-RB versions are still made in China, by the same people, so in reality apart from being slightly aesthetically different, they are almost the same!
  13. Years ago I foolishly sold my Warwick Alien 6 to @therealting and regretted it fairly swiftly. I've been on the hunt more or less ever since for another one, and have failed to find one for years... ...Until last week! One popped up within Richtone Music's second hand listings on Reverb. I called them up, agreed a price and paid a deposit. Today being payday saw me pay the rest off, so it should be getting sent out today! With some extreme luck I may even see it tomorrow... Never seen one for sale since I bought the one I sold, so I'm pretty chuffed to finally have one on the way!
  14. Been there. Several times! The one I miss/regret selling the most was a Nordstrand NX6 - the only one of its kind made by Carey Nordstrand before the business pivoted to focusing on pickups. I too often look for this bass, in the decade since I sold it, I've never seen or heard anything of it again - no resales that I can see, no posting on forums, no more images except the one below (from before I bought it). It was an unbelievably good bass. One day I hope to hear from it again! Good luck in your quest sir, I'm routing for you!

Sold Ming one of my Ashdown B-Social amps. Excellent buyer to sell to, quick payment, great communication - another credit to basschat! Would happily deal with again. 👍
  16. Watching Iron Chef while baby naps. 👶
  17. Having bought from @flaviusm before I can confirm he's a super trustworthy guy! Excellent basses these, I had the same in dark green a few years ago, superb things!
  18. "Not sure if its a genuine Fender" - 100% knows it's a moody as fook knock off that a dead cat would recognise as not being legit. "Got it in a house clearance" - a smashed to pieces unusable hunk of good for nothing fire wood.
  19. Hi all, Another item of mine up for sale to fund another bass purchase! This is a fairly rare Ashdown B-Social 2x5 75w bass amp. These are HUGELY underrated bits of kit - I actually own two of these, if I only had one I'd absolutely not be selling it as they are incredibly hard to come by and new cost near £700. In terms of what they do, here's a few top points: Built in wireless (has a wireless dongle included) Works as an audio interface with your DAW Has Bluetooth connectivity to play along with Spotify or whatever Has two 1/4 Jack instrument inputs Excellent (and I mean excellent) audio quality Auxiliary audio input Headphones input As an example, with these, you can simultaneously play your bass wirelessly through it, while streaming Spotify (alternative streaming services available) and having two other mates plug their guitars in to the jack inputs all while recording into your DAW if you wanted! So you can have a full band jam to a backing track all through one little amp at the same time. This one is in excellent condition, will take better photos later, but below is exactly the same as mine. My other one is a black one, so if you'd rather a black one that the wood one, let me know. Collection from Wickford, Essex is fine if you want! Or I can post.
  20. Hi all, There is a 'rare as hens teeth' bass I simply must own, and in order to do so I need to shift a bit of gear... Up for sale here is a fantastic condition Crafter BA400EQ electro-acoustic bass with a very nice hard case. It works perfectly, has a nice low action and sounds great. It has a solid spruce top and mahogany sides - I'm a huge Crafter fan (I own 12 of them!) as their build quality is dar higher than their price point. These are £449 new, the hard case would have been around £70, so with an asking price of £250 postage, put it as less than half price with free postage! I have another one of these, so can just about live without this one hence the sale! Collection from Wickford, Essex is fine (will knock off a tenner for collection).
