Some, IMO, are absolutely not worth the price, Some are, but... you are of course essentially absolutely correct! Some of us are vein and like a fancy top! 😁

Frank very kindly dropped off 8 knobs this afternoon! The man is both a gent and a scholar! Top marks for yet another credit to basschat!

Another quality slice of delicious feedback pie for Brian! Bought a defunct MarkBass head, it arrived very well packaged and in very good time! I've dealt with Brian before and I shall likely deal with Brian again! Another credit to the Basschat community. 👍

Get out... get out now. And leave your coat, it's the least you could do after that abomination of a pun!

If you are going to play live with a 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6 neck guitar, you NEED to use all the necks at least once otherwise I believe you automatically classify as a cockweasel. The dude from Coheed and Cambria had a double neck SG in one of their videos, he didn't touch the 12 string neck once, therefore he indeed automatically classifies as a cockweasel. 👍

It's a 'Hutchins'. Probably about the same build quality. SUPER heavy but genuinely not that bad to play!

I did have this monster at one point... Fun, but utterly pointless!

I bought a brand new Juki HZL120 for my wife from Amazon US, cost just under £600 including shipping and 'built in' taxes, whereas the UK retail price pretty much everywhere is £975, all it needed was a US/UK adapter (which Amazon covered the cost of!) and we saved £375. Some things are cheaper to bring in from The States for some odd reason...

Met Gaz in a shady Asda car park... We did a deal for his Mesa rig for my trickfish and a separate cash deal for his Purple Chili rig. All in a super smooth deal! Would definitely deal with Gaz again, another credit to BassChat!

I'm debating (very much unsure of going past the 'debate' stage) of renting out my rehearsal space for the occasional weekend band that might want a full 2 days practice or to spend some time writing. I have no idea what a 'fair price' would be for a full weekend session including use of pro gear. (Say 9am - 6pm Sat and Sun). The space is 40sqm and has a tiny kitchenette, a loo and shower, a lounge area, a small gym, an office area with Cubase for recording, full WiFi, a substantial drum kit, plenty of amps, effects pedals, mics and stands, a PA system, and a selection of excellent instruments (ACG, Conklin, Fender, Musicman, Reiver, PRS, etc). Your band could simply rock up and get going, there's nothing I can think you'd need to actually bring. Any thoughts as to whether there'd be a market for any bands to hire such a space, and what do you think would be a fair weekend rate given the equipment that'd be available to use?

I expect it would have been the one that was recently on here as only 4 of these 750w heads exist and only 2 of these cabs, so it's a rare beast indeed! Thanks! The man cave is a bit of a dream come true if I'm honest. The other end (behind where the photo was taken) has a small gym set up, my office/recording gear, a teeny tiny 'kitchenette' and toilet/shower so it's fully equipped and means I never have to go back to the house again!

Picked these two bad boys up this weekend... Looking forward to giving them a proper run over the next few weeks. They nicely complete my home rehearsal space/man cave!

@Cosmicrain A.K.A Mr Walsh did indeed build the Purple Chili rig. Only given it a quick test blast but it does sound pretty epic. It has a 750w class-D power section and a valve pre-section. Words from Mike: "I only made about eight heads, some were 450W and some were the 750W. They had hand wired point to point valve preamp boards based on the Trace Elliot V6/V8 preamps and the married to Digital power amp. They were extremally expensive to make and I only made a very low profit margin on them. Eventually I stopped making them for that reason. The cabs were made for Chris Chitticks (he worked for me at the time) this cab was indeed fitted with Celestions."

So, out with the super lightweight rig and in with two rather tasty, more old skool rigs....
