If having a multiscale bass is an absolute definite, then you won't go far wrong with the Ibanez, they are very good instruments - and as you say much lighter and more compact than the Dingwall. If multiscale isn't an absolute definite, your options will open up more. As someone mentioned, ACG are outstanding things - I currently own 6 of them.

Yeah, not running it through the effects loop. I don't typically bother doing that if I'm honest! Running the Helix into a Line6 G75 wireless - makes for a great set up! The cab was a bit of a challenge to carry 200ft down the garden to the studio though!

I suspect that might cause the world to end. If Trumps gets in, I'll do it. 😄

Thanks to @Sonic_Groove I am now the proud owner of an early 2000s Eden WT1205 with an EDEN 610XLT cab and a 500w Eden Time Traveller combo... All the proper USA built stuff. Just got it all home and given it a very quick test run, I forgot how much I genuinely like Eden gear! I used to have a WT800 with two 410XLT cabs and it sounded epic with a USA Spector NS6XL - playing my ACG through this rig makes for a very similar tone. Very happy indeed!

Bought some Ernie Ball stickers from Joel, they arrived promptly! Can't fault the transaction, another credit to basschat!

@Hotglove, That's the exact bass I started on - a blue one bought from cash Converters in Chelmsford 22 years ago. It served me well and started the hideous addiction I have now!

I also went there 20 odd years ago! I wonder if we crossed paths... They had plenty of amps when I was there, though I did have a stupidly huge Trace 810 in my tiny room with a stupidly huge 8U rack monstrosity as a head.

Bit clickbaity? The son shouldn't be punished for the crimes of the father. There's an interesting Louis Theroux documentary featuring YungBlud, during that they touch on his trouble relationship with his father. I don't particularly like his music, but I can respect the path he's walking.

He absolutely represents the worst of Britain. I'm sure he's out there throwing bricks at police as we speak.

I suppose in a forum like this, it's a bit of a 'take a punt' instrument for most and with money being tight across the board, spending £125 on a curiosity is probably not on most people's radar. Absolutely no doubt its well worth the asking price, perhaps BC isn't the best forum to advertise it on? Or at least, if it must be sold via BC, opening yourself up to potential trades or offers may help. Are there no equivalent 'Sax' forums out there? I do hope it sells, as it is tempting me, but a sensible head must prevail for now!

My Favourite Straps 2 for 1 until July 12th
binky_bass replied to Owen's topic in General Discussion
Don't get me wrong, these are great straps (I own two myself). But the pressure tactics of Italia Straps is quite shameful, they claim to have a 2-for-1 sale ending imminently but after the 'final day' of said sale, it gets refreshed again, and again, and again. I've never NOT seen a 'live' sale on for 2-for-1 with a countdown. Not a fan of that kind of practice. Great straps, but poor form on pressure tactics. -

Says you! The master of putting up links to eBay ads with years left and saying its a steal! Pot/Kettle and all that! 😂 (Meant very much a jestful way, not a nasty way! 😁) -

@Hellzero - G4M shipping is, for some curious reason, £47.49 as apparently the bass is coming from Sweden to the UK...

It will... the bass I eventually got from him had intonation that was unresolvably terrible. The fixed bridge was in the wrong position to even produce even tuning.
