  1. I have the 410+ Carbon cab, they are simply outstanding bits of kit. The sound quality is superb and transparent, and the weight is a game changer. Absolutely worth the money.
  2. Hi all, Selling this small plastic case that came with a pedal I bought. Perfect for mics, a few cables, a wireless system etc. Mic in the picture is just for reference and is not included! £7 if you want to collect or £10 posted.
  3. Not actually plugged it in yet! It badly needed a set up, the action was quite high and the B string was too thick to sit in the bridge saddle correctly, but after a few passes with a round needle file it now sits perfectly, and after a few quarter turns of the truss rod and a lowering of the bridge saddles the action over the zero radius fret board is perfect! The hipshot bridge that came with it when it was made can't really go back on as the new mono-rails (also Hipshot!) have new screw holes that'll show if the hipshot goes back on. No worries though as the mono-rails are very good quality. Replaced the Schaller strap pins for Dunlop ones so all my straps now fit! The balance is great and the condition is 9/10, just one minor zing behind the tip of the lower horn. All in, very happy!
  4. Hi all, Selling this extremely sturdy SKB 2u shallow rack case. It came with Markbass Multiamp I just got from a fellow BCer, I've now just bought the official Markbass bag to replace this so it's now up for grabs! These are near £150 from Thomann (link below), so £50 seems more than fair. The case has a few minor scuffs but is in 100% working condition, no cracks or damage except for aforementioned scuffs. https://www.thomann.de/gb/skb_roto_molded_2u_shallow_rack.htm?ref=mobile I can post if needed, postage will be around £8ish. Stock photo below, will add actual photos tomorrow!
  5. Did a shady Tesco Car Park trade with Adam, an absolutely credit to basschat! He did me a huge favour by picking up a bass for me on route to our meet point which saved me a good £40 in shipping and prevented any damage in transit. Excellent chap to deal with!
  6. Tis now in hand and after a MUCH needed set up, it plays beautifully!
  7. Hi all, Selling this extremely sturdy Warwick Rockbass flight case as I doubt I'll really ever use it so up for sale it is! These are £120ish from Warwick, so half price at £60 seems fair! Ideally collection only but can post for £14 on top. NOW £50 FOR A QUICK SALE.
  8. Hi all, This bridge came with a bass I just bought however the screw holes from the 'new' bridge will be visible if I re-fit this Hipshot bridge so I may as well sell it! It's a Type A bridge in Aluminium Satin, list from Hipshot is £150, I'm asking for £30 posted. Very good condition, no visible marks etc. £30 and its yours! (Includes UK postage)
  9. Ashdown B-Social. Massively underrated bits of kit. Comes with a wireless dongle so you can play unplugged, you can also run a backing track via Bluetooth while running two instruments via the two inputs, so you can have 3 instruments and a backing track running simultaneously. Very handy for a full band jam!
  10. That is exactly what I'd want to do to the Wal... might be 'a sin' but it'd make it such a truly usable instrument.
  11. I'd be so tempted to hire some kind of engineer to cut it down the middle and work in a seamless connection so you can 'click' them together as a double neck, or play them individually. Maybe even talk to Wal about building two additional pieces with the same connection so they look like 'normal' basses when not 'clicked' together as a double neck. I imagine the cost of such a procedure would be astronomical!
  12. Same old boring basses found on every ill-conceived 'best basses' list normally compiled by someone who's exposure to basses consists of having gone to the bass section of their local PMT. Bull-hockey I say!!! BULL-HOCKEY!
  13. A: I KNOW! and B: I hate you. 😜
  14. Did the deal on this little beauty and with the help of @adamg67 it should be in hand Saturday morning! One can have too many of many things but one can never have too many ACGs!
  15. Hi all, There's a bass I want that's cropped up and an amp I 'kind of' want. In order to close the deal on these, I need to sell my Kemper. (Cabs not included obviously!) This is great Kemper Power Rack 600w which will actually operate at 1000w @ 4 ohm (confirmed by kemper), 600w @ 8 ohm and 300w @ 16 ohm. The Kemper will come with a 3u rack case as well as the kemper pedal board, with case, and all various cables. The amp, pedal, cases etc are all in excellent condition, the Profiler has some fantastic bass rigs programmed in, as well as tons of effects. It works SUPERBLY for bass and also incredibly well for guitar (obviously). The Power Rack 600w plus pedal retails at £2400ish so £1500 for an excellent condition set-up seems very fair, plus the cases of course! The Kemper website has over 18,000 profiles on it from Mesa to Markbass, Darkglass to Orange (all free to download) so this is an incredibly versatile piece of kit. £1500 collected, add £30 for postage (all pretty bulky to post!) Any questions, let me know!
  16. Looks like a far nicer version of the Ibanez TCB1006. Very nice!
  17. To be honest I'll probably leave it as an idol threat. I can't be arséd with further involvement. Feel free to place that £1000 on my behalf!
  18. I just spent a good 5 minutes trying to work out what the hell you meant! Safe to say, I get it now! 😂 And might I add...
  19. A bit more progress! Managed to snag a John East low battery indicator as a last minute addition... soon my pretty... soon...
  20. Obviously it's entirely up to you to list the bass for any price at all - sellers choice! ...But, objectively, I would expect you could haggle with a shop down to a price very close to what you're asking and walk away with a brand new bass with warranty etc. So that might be worth factoring into the asking price. 7.7% off the brand new RRP for a 'technically' second hand bass might not entice that many potential punters! It's a shame you didn't win a bass that was more your cup of tea or that someone won this bass who's cup of tea it is!
  21. I've just sent the seller the below message. It really infuriates me when people hide under a guise of ignorance in order to con people. "I see you're still selling this as a Fender when you know it isn't, so unless you've cancelled the auction or amended it to be truthful within 24 hours, I'm going to bid £1000 on it to ensure I win it, then if you post it to me, once it arrives I shall open a dispute with eBay that it isn't a Fender and get my money back, as per eBay rules, you'll be responsible for covering return postage. Or if I win and you don't send it, then I'll lodge a complaint that you've not sent me the item I've won. So be a decent human and either withdraw the bass and relist with a truthful description, or I'll bid, and win, and we'll go through the motions laid out above. Thanks."
  22. @plaaty - if you don't mind a few battle scars, then the USA Music Man Sub 5 in the for sale section is a good shout, you're basically getting a full USA built proper Music Man Stingray 5 with a slab body for less than £500. https://www.basschat.co.uk/topic/457732-musicman-sub-usa-5-string/
  23. There's an orange one for sale in the 'for sale' section with hard case for £300.
