  1. There's an orange one for sale in the 'for sale' section with hard case for £300.
  2. £399 brand new and posted at GG at the mo! https://www.guitarguitar.co.uk/product/201116363990025--cort-artisan-b5-plus-as-rm-open-pore-burgundy-red?gclid=Cj0KCQiAtJeNBhCVARIsANJUJ2HMHALMF8FQH64JMbH-l0dHrSRigELi5eX1AGrwLF4wpTHnM8EobpYaAikJEALw_wcB
  3. Find a decent 5 string in the 'for sale' section and save yourself a good few hundred quid! Looking at those basses you mention I'm guessing your budget is circa £500, that will get you a great second hand 5 string and at a price where you won't loose hundreds should you want to sell or trade it later!
  4. It'd help your sale if you could provide the actual date of the bass - almost all the comments above are querying the build date.
  5. Words have failed every one... check out the thread below this titled 'ffs', it's 9 pages of disbelief about this very chap.
  6. I've never used (or really heard) the term 'front and rear' pickups to be honest, it's aways been 'neck', 'bridge' and when needed 'middle'. Front and rear just allow for far too much misinterpretation! Why use a term that is subject to confusion? Why not just use a term that is finite? Human logic, or lack there of, never ceases to amaze!
  7. Doubt this will be here long! Don't see these around too often these days and this is a great price!
  8. A good bit of progress made... aiming for January delivery (after the Xmas postal madness has died down!)
  9. Speak to Neil at Newtone Strings. If you tell him the scale of your bass and the feel and tone you're after, he'll make you a set. They're made in the UK and don't cost any more than a decent 6 string set. Great string and good value all while supporting a home grown business! 👍 Alternatively, Kalium do great sets, as do Conklin. I've had custom sets for my 10 string made by Rotosound in the past but they are very expensive! Newtone would be my recommendation. https://newtonestrings.com/
  10. It never ceases to amaze me the journey some basses go on in just a few years!
  11. They look like 'if IKEA did basses'. I really like the concept of the fully movable magnetic pickups system, that's great, but the look is very love or hate for sure.
  12. I think I ended up with this in a trade with @therealting and it then worked its way to @flaviusm... so it's not even in the country any more! If its this one...
  13. Well, these are a bit different! I don't really like the design, but I do like the idea for fully movable pickups. All very interesting. https://versoinstruments.com/en/gravis-bass-guitar/
  14. I have a pair of these and they're excellent. I also have a pair of Beyerdynamic DT770s and definitely prefer the AKGs for comfort and sound quality. Great bit of kit.
  15. Yup... I have a cupboard of shame, a drawer of shame, two boxes of shame and some miscellaneous shame scattered around various other places in the house. A few examples below...
  16. Disclaimer now added! 😁
  17. I'm pretty sure I've played this bass while doing some kind of dodgy* deal with Mr BassDoyle. Absolutely beautifully low action on this one! *Nothing dodgy about Mr BassDoyle** **As far as I know... 😋
  18. So long as you enjoy it, that's really all that matters!
  19. Get an Ashdown B-Social. You can pick them up for £200ish second hand as and when one pops up for sale. Fantastic sound quality for anything Bluetooth, and also doubles as a bass practice amp with built in wireless. I have two of these little gems and wouldn't be without them. IMO these are hugely underrated and one of the best things Ashdown has put out.
  20. I'm sorry, but that's not quite true. Prestige may potentially have bought the license from Galveston (or whoever owned Galveston) and re-branded it 'Prestige', but it is exactly the same. The headstock, body shape, neck construction, bat inlays, neck fixing etc etc are identical to Galveston. Perhaps it is made in Korea, but for all intents and purposes, it is the same instrument that Galveston produced. See the below picture of an older UB8000 and UB7000. If it works for you, that's all that really matters.
  21. Sold a strap to Mr Pants, quick payment, good communication, another credit to basschat! Would be happy to deal with again.
  22. @Billy Bongo - that's not an Ibanez Prestige, that's a re-branded Galveston. These are cheap Chinese made basses that are now sold under the brand name 'Prestige', unfortunately having owned a fretted 7 string Galveston some years ago, they are not particularly good at all. I hope you have a better experience with the fretless 7! But... absolutely nothing to do with Ibanez!
