  1. So, it's actually officially happening! We've broken ground today on building a studio rehearsal room. It's going to be a big old beast... circa 40sqm. Time frame to completion is around 8 weeks. I shall update in due course, but suffice to say I am quite excited about having a proper studio rehearsal room! 😁 The band will be moving in as soon as its ready and will save use between £200 and £250 a month in practice room fees.
  2. When you say 'look this one up' you really mean you had to flick through your laminated stack of vintage 'gentleman' magazines to find this particular edition...
  3. Take a look at the GR Dual 1400. It has 2 separate 1400w channels with independent EQ sections. Incredibly lightweight too at 3kg. I bought one after selling my Mesa rig that @Bunion was showing off above! Oh, and they are comparatively very cheap at £999.
  4. 🤣 Horrific, but excellent combination of words!
  5. Depends when I last re-strung it.
  6. Like a DeLorean shaped stack of hot flapjacks topped by a knob of slowly melting butter utop the heaving chest of the cover girl of the March 1979 edition of Playboy.
  7. If you're going for a Dual I'd recommend paying the extra £100 and go for the Dual 1400. For £100 more you get 600w per channel more. You might not need the extra 600w but it would provide exceptional head room and the residual value is definitely much better given that the price difference between the 800 and the 1400 is so small.
  8. Bought most of Mark's PA system off of him today, a perfectly smooth transaction and always good to meet a fellow BCer in person! I'd be more than happy to buy from Mark again, another credit to the BC community. Cheers sir!
  9. That 'scratch plate'... 🤣
  10. One is already epically loud! A second would look cool but there are definitely no funds for that I'm afraid - in the middle of building a small studio in the garden to house my current AT410+. 😁
  11. I have one of these cabs and they are disgustingly good. A mere 15kg too.
  12. I'd guess that they occasionally played it without the B string attached. Either way, it needs burning.
  13. A Fletress too apparently... 🤔
  14. Indeed. ACG Salace E-Type 33" 24 fret set neck. Best basses I've ever used, and I've used many! When you find what's right for you, why use anything else.
  15. Any interest in parting it out? I'd be interested in a few bits, but definitely wouldn't need the full lot!
  16. If this was a 6...
  17. Dang. Would love a 6er midi-bass.
  18. Everything this seller sells is. They're quite well known in these parts for exactly that!
  19. Myself and two pals drove down to Chris's to collect his rather nice 335 Dot. Chris was a true gent, he had the guitar ready to be plugged in and tested, needless to say it worked absolutely fine and was actually in better condition than described! An all round excellent chap to deal with! Would happily buy from again! 😀
  20. I tend to filter for UK only, so that'll limit what I can see, maybe searching in the US yields you a better assortment of good deals, but the stuff I see in the UK isn't really ever worth it.
  21. I've bought one thing from it and sold two thing on it. But I find I rarely get sales from it or rarely find good deals on it.
